Stayed Dec 21, 2022A brilliant place to stay over Christmas time. The gite was clean and had everything we need. We especially loved the fireplace. Jeni and Glen were fantastic, they answered all our questions and were always on hand. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

Stayed Sep 4, 2020If you're looking for a piece of Paradise this is your place. After being greeted by Johnny who said with a grin on his face I speak Irish. He then showed us where we could park our car; it very easy and convenient to unload any luggage. He then escorted us into our cottage and in the living room on the coffee table we noticed a vase full of beautiful vibrant yellow flowers that had been grown in the garden along the side of the cottage. Johnny then pointed out that his lovely wife Lynn had made us a welcome basket that was full of some homemade and grown goodies. After a brief walk through the place it was all ours. The cottage and grounds were quite private and spotless yet very welcoming. The interior of the cottage was full of ambient light along with lot's of windows and french-doors to let in all that fresh country air. They also allowed to have a breath taking view of the garden that looked down to the stream; it was absolutely charming. My husband was in total heaven with the Bar-B-Q, in fact he made one every night of our stay. We decided to explore a little and discovered The Barn which is on the property and is a really cool place to hang out toeither play mean game of ping pong or fuse-ball or just hang out on the oversized couches and chairs and play with a very sweet and welcoming pooch named Tobey or just pet a very gentle and affectionate curious orange cat named Peanuts aka Nuts. Also in the barn we noticed a table which displayed some of Lynn's finest; an array of homemade jars of;Marmalade Calvados, Plum Jam, Beetroot Vinegar of Cider and Plum Chutney which were all available for purchase at a too good to beat price; we ended up buying almost the whole lot. What made this one of our best trips ever was the tranquillity of this magical place. We woke up every morning to the sounds and sights of all the nature around us hearing the birds sing and watch all the butterflies dance with the faint sound of the river that flowed just outside. A truly gem and wonderful place to find a little bit of countryside magic*

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My second time here and it definitely won't be the last. Already looking forward to visiting again next year. The beautiful, peaceful and tranquil setting, helps you to relax and unwind but with loads of activities and places to visit, just a short drive away. Johnny and Lynn are the perfect hosts, always making you welcome and feel at home. Highly recommended.

Stayed Aug 25, 2018This is the most magical place. We happened upon it by accident three years ago and have now visited four times. Johnny and Lynn are so kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is spotless and comfortable. We shall be returning again soon.

Stayed Jun 12, 2018Oh - how we loved this location! There is a stream right next door and there is barely any car passing which makes for a surreal and relaxing environment. The owners live on site and are extremely kind. They speak English perfectly and are very helpful. The house is well equipped for cooking all meals. There is a wonderful outdoor area, as well, for enjoying all of it. This location could easily be your destination location. Yet, it is also only an hour drive to Mont San Michele and the D-Day beaches.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A lovely setting for either a quiet break, or a base to explore the countryside, with the usual variety of attractions not too far away. Very friendly and welcoming owners, comfortable accommodation, and a relaxing atmosphere made this one of the best gites we've visited in France. The site was even nicer than we'd imagined, and Ideal for touring the D-Day landing beaches and bocage country, or visiting some of the historic buildings and sites in towns such as Domfront, Falaise, St Lo and Bayeux, amongst many. The area around the gite was like being in a park, with the river at the end of the garden. If wildlife is your interest there are plenty of things to spot, including birds, mammals and insects, with loads of photo opportunities. The sound of the water is very soothing. We would recommend this gite to anyone visiting the area. All in all a most enjoyable stay, and we would definitely return - hopefully for a longer visit !

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This place is a slice of heaven. From the moment we arrived we felt as though we had slipped from our hectic lives in the UK into bliss! Our hosts were incredible and couldn't have been more helpful offering local knowledge, wine and wood for our fire! Their dog, Azure, wandered in and out making us feel more as though we were part of a family rather than tourists. The accommodation is stunning; warm and rustic, offering all the comforts of home yet maintaining all the charm that rural France promises. We wandered down to the river each morning and fed the horses at lunchtime then walked down the lane in the afternoon, I can't tell you how much of an antidote this place is to the the stresses and strains of life in the UK! There is a Carrefore within 10 minutes drive, the beaches are close by and the countryside is right on your doorstep. What more could a holiday offer? We have already booked to go back.
