Our third stay in this cottage and we'll definitely be back again. Jan, the host, gives you all of the information you need before check-in, never had a problem getting access to the property. Plenty of parking space on the gated drive for 2 cars. Brilliant location being able to walk and cycle directly into the forest without having to drive and park anywhere first, New Forest ponies and cows making regular appearances in the small field at the end of the garden kept the kids entertained when we weren't out and about. Supermarkets are a short (10-15min) drive away in Bransgore or on the edge of Ringwood.

This is my second stay at the property, the check in process was so straightforward. The house is exactly how it looks on the website, there is plenty of space for 4 adults and has a secure garden for our dog. It is lovely to walk into Burley to have a drink and dinner as well as having plenty of different walks on the door step for the dog. Will definitely be booking another stay in the future

A really lovely cottage and great location just a very short walk from the village and the forest. Great fully enclosed garden. This was our second stay here and we love it and the location. The beaches just a 20min drive away and lots of lovely pubs within a short walk or drive.I would say the cottage would benefit from some better kitchen equipment for example there was a couple of pots one which it's handle is close to falling off making it risky using boiling water in it, non stick pans with no non stick left and not many utensils.Next time I stay I will be bringing my own bits as it was quite challenging to cook with such a mishmash of stuff but would rather not have to do this. Also simple things like screws missing from door handles making it difficult to fully close the door without fear of pulling it off. Especially on the small bedroom where my 4 year old was sleeping.Overall a really great stay and will definitely be returning.

Wonderful cottage with everything you need and in a perfect location. Quiet, on the edge of the village and only a five minute walk to the centre of Burley. The house is wonderful and so is the garden. The coast with beaches is only about 15 to 20 minutes away. Stonehenge can also be reached in about 50 minutes. The house is spacious and offers all comforts and has three great bedrooms. Thank you Jan for the great support at all times! We would love to come back!

My wife and I stayed in the house with our dog for four nights. Our initial impression was how clean and well cared for the house was. It was also well equipped - several televisions, ample crockery, cutlery, glasses etc., washing machine and dishwasher.- and very comfortable. Access was very easy with the key from the keysafe. Outside there was spacious off-road parking and a good sized garden enjoyed by the dog. We did not need the garden shed but it did offer additional storage space for boots, bikes and other outdoor equipment. Early spring sunshine meant we were able to use the patio table for lunches when were not out walking. Easy walks to the village centre, pub and forest.

When we first arrived at this cottage, we couldn't believe our eyes. It is a large house but with a cosy cottage feel and is so clean. Upon arrival we found that milk and a bottle of wine had been left in the fridge for us which was a lovely surprise. The house was extremely warm and this was without using the log burner. Everything had been decorated to a high standard and it was a pleasure staying here. Burley itself is a quaint little village with a couple of pubs, tea rooms and a few shops. It was ideal to use as a base for travelling to the surrounding areas. We enjoyed visiting Lymington and Winchester and we found a lovely garden centre called Haskins that had a fabulous cafe and so many Christmas decorations to choose from. Worth a visit if the weather is not too good and is also dog-friendly. After visiting the garden centre, we took a trip to the beach at Branksome Chine. The beach is fine sand and our dog absolutely loved running on it. She was exhausted most nights which is always a good sign. Would definitely stay at this cottage again when we come back to the New Forest!!
