Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We had an issue with the front door lock on arrival, and the next day we had one with an electrical outlet, both of which were immediately resolved by the host. The kitchen area is great for food prep, and the appliances are modern. The bathroom is VERY small, as are the bedrooms. Guests have to live out of their suitcase as there are no dressers and few hangers or pegs. Also, the Vrbo advertisement of this property refers to a beach: that is a bit of a stretch, as the 'beach' is minimal.

Everything was neat and well organized. Yes, it's small but we enjoyed our stay.

The cabin itself was cute and the inclusion of the fire stick and game console were nice for the evenings. However the outdoor space felt over grown and not private due to neighboring property... not the other kabins. The door lock was incredibly difficult to work with and the only communication with owners was through seemingly automated emails. The adjacent beach is incredibly small with narely any sandy space. All town sites are at least a 15 min walk away.

Just 1.45 hr drive from Toronto ..On arrival.the digital lock was a bit of a challenge. But the host quickly responded to our text with a phone call and we were able to enter the cabin. The cabin was clean and equipped with toiletries and kitchen ware. The two small bedrooms were spacious enough for our suitcases ( each of us brought one.).The bedrooms were well.appointed, each with a beach painting. Each bedroom had an overhead electric fan which was helpful, espesciallylly the first night when day temp had gone up to 30 degreeWe really enjoyed the S.U.P. and the kayak, which were shared amenities with the cabin beside us.The watercraft were stacked on a rack behind our cabin and not too heavy to carry to the lake across the street from cabin..The only thing i would mention is that becsuse hge S.UP. was made of styrofoam it was difficult to manage in windy weather and also because of the styrofoammaterial difficult to balance on when standing. We found a road filled with lakeside cottages for our evening walk..Some if the cottages and the lakeside vista was something to behold.Local grocery shopping was a 5 minute drive as were the restaurants we visited. It was also fun to walk to Lock 34 on the Trent (Kwartha) Waterway system and watch a boat make its way through the lock ststem. We enjoyed watching old movies on the T.VWe appreciated the quietness at night while we slept...and the relative quietness of the dsy.The mattresses were comfortable to sleep on .

Cabin was small which was expected, however there were no closets or dressers for clothing storage, nothing but couple of hooks which needed to hang a coat or a towel. Many rules and regulations most common sense, seeed regimented. Beach was also very small area. No chairs or room for much. Still stay was ok for 2 nights.

Hydrus was clean, easy to find and in a perfect location. The place was just as listed with everything we needed for a relaxing couple of days. The beach area was close, easy to find and we used it everyday. The kayaks were an added bonus. I recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time!

The cottage was clean and fully supplied with what we needed. We used the two kayaks and surf board and really enjoyed it. Could have used a third life jacket though. It was more than we hoped for. There was wifi and tv with all the channels you would want including netflixs.
