Perfect little cottage for a couples getaway. Enjoyed watching the birds and deer outside the window. House is in a private area but is just a short drive into town. House was very clean and had all the conveniences of home . We enjoyed visiting the many local wineries during our stay!

The place was clean and located about 10 minutes from everything which was perfect.

This cottage is SPECIAL!! The hosts went above and beyond to make all the little details special that makes the stay that much better! Expensive sheets, soft &fluffy towels, flip flops, beach towels and bath robes for the hot tub, little flashlights on the bedside tables along with multi charge ports on each side of the bed, a VERY well stocked kitchen with nice quality kitchen appliances and tools. A keurig and a coffee pot along with delicious- high end coffee grounds provided. I believe the hosts also have a mosquito protection service because I usually get eaten alive but had zero bug bites after sitting in the hot tub two nights. The hot tub was very clean, and a very nice size with comfy seats. A wonderful couch and nice tv for relaxing. The cottage is spotless and decorated perfectly. A perfect place for a couple- just top notch!

This cottage is absolutely the most adorable place! Picture perfect...easy everything from check in/out to every amenity you could need. I cannot list all the pros for this place!

Great place to get away from the city. Close enough to downtown for food and also close to some great hikes.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Everything we needed was provided, and the space felt welcoming, cozy and well taken care of. The location was great and made our stay even more enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

We had a wonderful time in Dahlonega and the cottage felt like the cherry on top. The kitchen was well furnished and had everything we needed. The hot tub felt great after a couple cold hikes the day before. Thank you for making this a very memorable trip!

Everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful, quiet, remote, and very clean. It has all the amenities and the hot tub made it more special being able to enjoy the cold outdoor tranquility in the warmth of a hot tub. We will definitely be going back.

Great spot, very cute and everything we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of things. The bathroom rugs are very slippery, almost fell. I am 75 years old, could have been bad. Also, the tub and floor in the bathroom could use a good scrubbing, there is a little mold around the facet plate and the tub did not feel real clean, but it was ok. The floor in the bathroom didn't look dirty, but it was not real clean.However, overall, everything was great. We had a good time. I only mention these items for your information. Also, we could have used some extra towels and wash clothes. We will be back.

Peter and Karen are great hosts. The Cottage on the Hill was decorated beautifully and was clean and comfortable. It is obvious that a lot of thought goes into making sure their guests have everything they need. VRBO failed to send the door code prior to arrival and when we texted, Peter responded himself promptly. This was truly the perfect place to celebrate our 47th anniversary. Secluded without feeling isolated. Thank you! We hope to make it back for our 50th, if not sooner.

We were only there for a very short time. But the property was amazing you get the feeling that you're all alone it is so secluded. The hot tub was amazing with the cool fall air. It is definitely going to be our go-to for short stays!

Such a relaxing place. Just beautiful. Had everything we needed. Easy access to visit Dahlonaga. We loved the layout of the house and enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the birds. Thank you for providing the bird feeders. Even had some deer come through.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, in a private, quiet location. A lot of thought was put into what guests might need while staying; right down to mini flashlights on each night stand.

My only complaint was that the mattress on the bed was too soft. But, that's just a personal preference. The home and location were perfect, otherwise!

We had a great time. The space was the perfect size for my husband and me. The cabin was equipped with all we needed.

The property was great. Very clean and beautifully decorated.The only suggestion we have is a bar in the shower for safety purposes.

You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this property to make it enjoyable for their guests. They thought of every little detail to go above the basics. We had a such a great trip and have already shared this property with friends. I will note: we have a truck and it was a little tight in the driveway.

This cottage had everything you could ask for. All modern appliances, clean, and just far enough off the main roads for tranquility.Everything was well stocked (I was especially impressed with the spices and oils available in the kitchen. The retractable canopy allowed for a night of stargazing in the hot tub. Will definitely stay here on our return trips to Dahlonega.

I wanted to check out the Gainesville GA area between a visit with friends in Asheville and my son in Chattanooga. This rental was very comfortable and clean. Great place to escape to for a couple days and unwind.

From the minute we walked into Cottage on the Hill, we felt relaxed and at home. Every detail you can think of that you need in a rental, the owners have also thought of. Our stay was nothing short of perfect. We relaxed, enjoyed the hot tub, slept like babies, and loved how close we were to the wineries and downtown Dahlonega. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We will be back and I’ll share the link to this lovely cottage with friends and family looking for a peaceful getaway!

Perfect cottage setting surrounded by forest. Thoughtful owners provided everything needed for a very comfortable stay, going above & beyond by providing coffee, shower amenities, laundry soap. Everything from decor to bedding to kitchen dishes is well thought out and high end, giving the place a luxury feel. We enjoyed watching lots of deer bound through the property every morning! Have stayed in numerous properties in the north GA area and this was one of the best. Would love to stay again in the future, however vrbo fees may make this property too cost prohibitive. Would remove a star due to exorbitant vrbo fees, however owners deserve 5 stars.

Wonderful trip! Cottage very charming, everything we needed, clean, comfortable, secluded. Four miles from downtown, so was great to be close to restaurants since we eat all our meals out. Awning over hot tub was awesome when it was raining! Highly recommended!

We come up every year to visit family, this is by far our favorite stay, perfect for the two of us. Everything was clean and comfortable, easy to get too and if you read the check out book, you’ll see everyone saying the same things.

From the moment you drive up, you can tell a lot of care goes into this property. Then you open the door and walk inside…absolutely beautiful. Such attention to detail was put into all aspects of this little dream. The owners stock the kitchen with coffee, coffee pods, teas. There are beautiful hand soaps and lotions in the kitchen and bathroom. The owners definitely go the extra mile to make sure every aspect of your time spent in their rental feels like home. We will stay again.

Lovely little house so convenient to all the things. Decorated beautifully and well equipped for all our needs. Everything is clearly labeled and easy clean up expectations on check out. Hosts were very responsive for the few questions we had. Nothing we wanted to do was more than 20-25 minutes away at the most. Perfect getaway!
