Gardener's Cottage

Beautiful, tranquil spot to get away from city life. Estate was a gorgeous example of Scottish Nature yet close enough to be able to walk into town. The cottage was the perfect size for 4, and the internet worked fantastic. The only draw back was the weak signal for tv; we could only get 1 channel in with any regularity. But this isn't the type of place you would sit and just watch tv anyways so we didn't care. The host was responsive with our questions prior to staying and the overall experience was great.

We had a lovely few days. It's a good place to stay and explore the surrounding area.

Great location just South of Ballater on Glenmuick estate. Enjoyed being wakened by the wildlife rather than planes. Not sure if the cottage is haunted but was wakened at 3am on the first night by creaking stairs. Anyway didn’t detract from our stay. Cottage is in need of upgrading e.g. ancient shower and paintwork in need of attention. That may concern some people but did not detract at all from our stay. Overall would recommend a stay here for a few nights if you like activities in spectacular countryside and some peace and quiet.

We loved our stay in Gardeners cottage. Beautiful location, and close to Ballater. We enjoyed the peaceful environment, close to Balmoral, and lovely accommodation. The process was easy and all was exactly as described and clean.

Comfortable, clean and cosy lodgings on a pretty estate surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Great walks nearby and good food in the village. Would recommend.

This property was exactly as expected and really good value. The location is lovely and really convenient for hiking, mountain biking and all the area has to offer. Ballater is very close (less than 10 min cycle). Interior is exactly as in the photos. Plenty of space for boots, coats etc. Comfortable beds with lovely linen.

The property is a little out of the village in a quiet location. The main house was not rented out whilst we were there. As we prefer a quiet location this was ideal for us. Great views from the bedroom windows. The downstairs views slightly blocked by a wall

We loved our stay at Gardener’s Cottage. It looks an out over the main house and the hills beyond - the views are stunning. The house is cosy and had everything we needed. The housekeeper was super helpful with everything. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage surrounded by a stunning landscape. Quiet and cozy. We've spent a wonderful time there.

Our second visit and was a great trip again. Cottage is excellent very warm and cozy and very clean. Location amazing on the estate and short walk into Ballater. Great walking locally or close by.
