You’ll be a short drive to an incredible number of trails, waterfalls, fishing streams, overlooks and lakes with downtown just up the road for dining and shopping. When you’re not out and about soaking up the area’s natural wonders, curl up beside the firepit and watch the sunset dance on the water while you roast marshmallows or catch sight of the family of deer who pass through each day. Enjoy a glass of wine on one of the screened in porches that overlook the creek just a few steps away or hole up indoors with a puzzle or a board game. This was our 2nd time staying here. We love the screened patio and sounds of the creek. We were so happy to see the moccamaster coffee maker, we have the same one at home and love it. Glad we could spend another week at Firefly Cottage, thank you!

Nicely refinished cabin in a quiet cove. Beautiful stream runs through the property creating a peaceful setting. A short drive to Main St in downtown Highlands.

Just a bit further than where have VRBOd before - this is our favorite Highlands cottage. I could say after 20 years and staying with friends around Mirror Lake - don’t expect to go to restaurants and have cocktails after 5:00 and motor back - bring your own family favorites and grill or heat up in the oven. We especially loved sitting on the upper deck in the afternoon. Hint - my husband is an entomologist - amazing!
