FANTASTIC Cottage - Amazing Panoramic Views - HUGE Water Front Level Lot Private

Very nice home! We enjoy the view of the lake and being able to have plenty of room to be with Co Co our dog! Even caught two bass off the dock! Enjoyed next door neighbor very much and was a pleasure talking with him! House was very nice and had a great time! Plenty of resturants nearby also! If ever in the area again would stay again ! The cottage was beautiful,clean and very comfortable. The property was gorgeous! It was our first experience with vrbo and i cannot say enough good things about it. The outside space was beautiful with long lake views and our dog loved it as much as we did. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Everything was wonderful. I don't think anything could have been better considering there's nothing anyone can do about the weather in late December! I will definitely be back during the summer!The view was gorgeous. The house was great! Neighbors were very pleasant! Saw 2 eagles nesting. Two owls were watching us! Woodpeckers sang to us often! The ducks entertained!

We had the most amazing time. Absolutely adore the accommodations. Its a charming home on a fantastic property close to anything you could want. Will definitely use again.... and again! The Lake! You couldn't ask for prettier sunset or sunrise.

Nice apartment, beautiful lake views, kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the washer/ drier! Only surprise was the second bedroom is basically a walk in closet with a bed in it. It worked fine for us, but some might find it a bit claustrophobic, especially with no windows.

It was absolutely perfect!!! We needed a place to rest and relax this more than fit the bill!!! We enjoyed fishing on the dock, the beautiful views and the fire pit too! Our senior, blind and diabetic chiuahuah also enjoyed herself!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and cozy, had everything we needed, was close to good restaurants and in a quiet location. The lake is amazing, we loved sitting on the dock at night talking and fishing, kayaked every day. We caught catfish, large mouth and small mouth bass, and blue gill. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Unfortunately we were not pleased with our stay, The location was excellent, the house was nice, however, the sheets had not been washed after the last renter vacated the house. You can tell when sheets are freshly washed. There were bugs in the bed as I am still dealing with the bites. There was no coffee, tea or sugar in the kitchen. Most people like to have a hot cup of coffee in the a.m. The small bedroom was literally the size of a single bed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE.

My husband and I arrived at the Lake Bowen cottage on a very hot summer day. We had an easy entry and welcomed the air conditioning and easy walk to the water. Everything was clean and comfortable. This is an upstairs apartment and we are in our seventies, but our own home has stairs and these were no problem for us. The lake site was great; shopping and restaurants are an easy drive. We hope to return one day -- our four-night stay was our favorite lake experience.

Absolutely adorable

We traveled to the area for college tours for our son and daughter. This year we decided to make it a whole week and were again pleased with the rental. Well stocked with linens, a wash/dryer on site, plenty of everything and still close to a market, and the highway. We hope to stay here again next summer if its available the weeks we will be in the area! Good fishing too off the dock!

Relaxed in the cozy upstairs apartment and swam in the warm lake. Just the best little getaway.

Nice place to stay at. Just make sure you stop by the Dollar store prior to arrival if you wish to wash your clothes as they do not provide detergent for your clothes to be washed. Beautiful property with a good dock to swim off of.

The house has a panoramic lake view !!!you see it from every window. Nice comfortable living and sleeping quarters. Great dock to fish from just wasn’t bitting. But had a nice peaceful relaxing time.

I rented this for my dad to stay while we were in town and he LOVED it!! We will definitely rent it again when we come back in town to visit my daughter and her family!!

The stay was nice. The house was perfectly located for my visit with family that lives local. It was easy to find. We may visit again when we can spend some time on the lake. It was too cold to truly enjoy all that is available there.

Amazing 240 water front view. Everything is well kept and furnishing are great.

We were celebrating Thanksgiving with family in the area and visiting my mother who is in assisted living facility nearby. Location was convenient. Nice place to serve as a base for getting around the area.

We were in Spartanburg area for a softball camp for our daughter. Rather than staying in a tired hotel along the highway, we went looking for a home with a view. We couldn't have found a better location than this place! Home was well stocked with everything you might need, great outdoor area, dock for some fishing, and plenty of firewood for a great campfire! 5 STARS!

We were displaced from Asheville and needed a home for some time to gather ourselves. The cottage was cozy and charming, and the lake was stunning, giving us peace and serenity to return home. Neighbors are kind and pleasant...wasn't a vacation but a much needed break. We will be back to enjoy the cottage and lake again, for vacation ;)

This was our second stay here. Visiting friends who live in Inman. Very quiet neighborhood. Beautiful views of Lake Bowen. Cute cottage with everything we needed. Loved the nautical decor. Will definitely stay here again.

Couldn't ask for a more relaxing and quainter location. You the lake and how a few quite days should be!

Totally disappointed in the ratings this house had.The property is beautiful but...The first thing that greets you is a dirty stairwell full of bugs, dirt, cobwebs, leaves and debris.Has not been cleaned in a very long time. Not even sweeped. Certainly was not cleaned before we arrived. At first appearance the house looks clean and inviting, until you open a drawer,cabinet, pillowcase or look in the corners. Dirt and cobwebs everywhere. Dirty dishes. Pillows and oven mits are gross! Had to clean the silverware drawer, lining and tray and all the silverware and the pots and pans. Anything we used. George Foreman grill was put away dirty = gross. We rent a house because we like to cook. Dishes and wares are a total mismatch. Looks like it's just stuff previous guest have bought and left. The drawers in the bathroom were covered in scum full of Stuff and one has 3 old toothbrushes in it. Livingroom and Bathroom have biting ants. Instruction tell you to use the broom in the garage to clean cobwebs (not the one upstairs that is so old it is falling apart). Why are guest having to clean anything. One corner of the couch is sunk in. Nightstand in the master bedroom is full of Stuff. Great Grand-Daughters came to visit and found 2 Stuffed Animals in the toybox with chocolate all over their faces. (I hope it was Chocolate!) The garage is full of cobwebs and critter droppings in the corners. I would be embarrassed to have guest stay with me if my house was this dirty.

We really enjoyed this little lake house and would have loved to have extended our stay!! It was located in about the most quiet, peaceful area, but strangely close to anything you could want. For those of you considering this place, Strawberry Hill Ice Cream and outdoor market is an absolute MUST!!

The lake was perfect. Great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. We really loved diving off the dock into the nice warm water. It was a perfect way to spend some quality time with our preteen boys. There was also shore access for our 3 year old so she could walk in and float around. Very private too. We would stay again based on the lake access alone. The cottage was nice and clean but there were spiders and spider webs all over the patio, garage, dock and occasionally inside. Every morning I had to use a broom to knock them down. So if you don't like spiders, bring some spray. The sofa bed was kinda broken as well as the fold out cot. The master bedroom was great though with a very comfortable bed. Bring your own inflatables as the ones provided all leak air. The provided grill was also not working. The dock had a couple rotting boards that will hopefully be replaced as they have to be avoided so your foot doesn't go through. Having 2 bathrooms was great. Secluded location but very close to shopping and restaurants. Overall it was an excellent place to stay and we would highly recommend. We hope it's available next year when we are looking.
