Stayed Oct 10, 2019We previously stayed at Water's Edge in 2017 and enjoyed our time greatly, so much that we were excited to rent this spot again for our follow up trip this year. The property manager Lisa is great with communication and response time. When we arrived, there was delicious local bread and jam for us to enjoy. The views of the water and the surrounding area are unbelievably gorgeous, the windows face east and west for great light and beautiful looks. The weather took a turn for the chilly but we were snug and cozy, the heating worked very well. Location-wise you are a very short drive into town and can access many beautiful national park areas within an hours drive of Munising. I really love how quiet and peaceful the property is.

Stayed Sep 2, 2019This is a great little place. My partner and I stayed here for a few days and brought our dogs. It was a great home base for our daily trips to different parks and sights in the UP. Nothing fancy, but we didn’t need it to be—just clean and easy. It was perfect.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The pull out couch needed attention so we didn't use it. Lisa said she would take of it care of it. Location and house was very nice and we enjoyed it.

Stayed Aug 5, 2019Great location, right on the shore of Lake Superior, just minutes from both downtown Munising and a beach. Picturesque setting. We grilled out and built a fire as the sun set. Tons to do, waterfalls, short and long hikes, and water activity and more. Would recommend visiting the area and Waters Edge was perfect to have as a home base. Lisa was easy to communicate and everything went smoothly. Thanks!

Stayed Oct 5, 2017This is a lovely little cottage set back from the road, only a couple miles from Munising and about half a mile from Munising Falls. It's a great location for exploring that part of Michigan. There are lots of places to hike and beautiful beaches with Lake Superior's crystal clear water. The living quarters are upstairs over a large garage. The area is small but nicely decorated and comfortable. There is minimal but, for the most part, adequate utensils and cookware. The cottage has a functional wood burning stove and an outdoor fire pit. The porch is a great place to sit with beautiful views of the late. Overall a very nice place to stay for 2 or 3 people.

Stayed Sep 20, 2017We loved our stay at this VRBO. The cabin is easily accessible and close to town, but still feels very secluded and private thanks to being behind a grove of trees & down a quiet road. The area is beyond beautiful and the rental was clean & super comfortable. We will be back for sure! Lisa was quick to respond to emails and sent us very helpful instructions about the rental and the surrounding area. A great host! Inside, a comfortable 2nd floor small apartment - a bedroom with east facing windows to enjoy the sun once it crests the large hill outside, along with a nice view of trees. Bed was a queen, comfortable with nice sheets and blankets. The bathroom has a large shower and nice counter space available for toiletries with plenty of clean towels. The main area includes a comfortable pull out couch, table, chairs, etc, as well as a small kitchen & full fridge. Very helpful for storing some basics to snack on and drink! The main area has a wall of windows facing west with a gorgeous view of the lake. All windows open up to allow fresh air, and the heating worked very quickly for the one night we came home and the temp had dropped significantly. Outside, nice sized yard with patio. The back of the yard has a staircase that goes down to the water and the westward views of the sunset were stunning. A small ramp extends out over the water. Small strip of sandy beach along the shore, easy to wade and enjoy the shallow water near the property's lake ramp...lots of stones on the lake floor so recommend water shoes. Going into Munising is just a short 5 minute drive. I particularly enjoyed the coffee at Falling Rocks cafe as well as the bagels at Bay Furnace. There is a large park ranger office you pass by in town on the way to the rental, definitely worth stopping in to get advice & maps from the rangers there. If looking for a cozy spot with direct lake access and close proximity to Pictured Rocks, this is the spot for you!

Stayed Sep 28, 2017Loved the cozy loft apartment. Great views and quiet surroundings. Close to town and many of the local attractions. Many hidden gems in the little town. House information binder was loaded with great tips as well as the guest book. Perfect little escape from reality. Our only wish was that checkout was later.
