Elegant Cottage on 600 Acre Horse & Livestock Farm

We loved the whole experience of staying on the horse farm. The house was very nice and it was so peaceful and quiet. All staff and workers were nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.

This place is amazing! The horses are literally in your backyard. Beautiful house and property! A great place to unplug and relax in nature.

This place was phenomenal. Gorgeous, well-appointed cottage, absurdly comfortable beds, a lovely screened in porch, with horses visible at all times and a pond that my son never wanted to stop fishing in. They even provide poles.My daughter was able to ride a horse with Sommer and played with his dogs, and that made her trip.The town is lovely, it’s extremely close to several winery, and there are some surprisingly GOOD restaurants within 10-15 minutes. The food at Fabio’s is delightful and the pickles at the BBQ restaurant are an experience in and of themselves. Food Lion is 9 minutes away! So easy, a great family getaway!!! We’ll be back when it’s warm enough to enjoy the swimming hole.Thank you!!

Beautiful, serene property! The home had everything we needed for a cozy stay. Our children LOVED the horses!

This property was beautiful. The staff and owner were very nice and answered any questions we might have had. Couldn't have asked for a better family get together. Kids had a blast petting the horses and seeing all the animals. Boys loved the fishing at the ponds. Thank you for making our weekend together memorable.

This is just a lovely place to visit. We are sorry to only stay here a night at a time up to now because we are just passing through. We hope to return in future for a longer stay. The cottage is simple and lovely. Well cared for and the views are just stunning

If you’re planning to visit this place, don’t hesitate — it’s the perfect getaway from city noise, with lots of wildlife and pristine, beautiful nature! I’d give it 10 stars, but that option doesn’t exist

Nice little place to stay and close to downtown Orange and Gordonsville with great food and such. Would recommend if you are in the area and looking for a peaceful getaway and relaxing stay.

This was such a perfect first stop on our roadtrip. Bucolic and warm. We played games on the porch and pet the horses and decompressed in the back yard. We will be back for sure!

Quiet, picturesque and plenty of history in the area to explore. Owners seem to be very generous in allowing guests to wander the property. Enjoyed the “things to know” information that was provided. Wish we had more time to explore the property and the surrounding area. Appreciate the pet friendly accommodations. Would stay again.

Beautiful property with fabulous aura!Could have been slightly cleaner with more blankets available. Clogged bathtub. Johnny Cash and Jack Jack were our favorite.

We enjoyed the beauty of the farm, the long walks and serene atmosphere, the house has all you need, the screened in porch is a fabulous spot for meals with views and a breeze. Perfect getaway

I booked this place for an event I had planned. I contacted the host for some arrangements and they were very helpful and so kind. My friends and I loved the place so much we are already planning our next trip! It’s located near other houses but is very clean and soothing.There is so much to see! You are truly going to be amazed :?

We enjoyed our very short stay at the Milk House Cottage. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have two full baths. It was quiet and at night, the sky was so dark, the stars were in clear view. The added bonus was the sun porch with the horses just steps away. We would love to return to this little cottage in the future.

Had a great relaxing time with family. We enjoyed the fire pit, horses, walking the property and the swimming hole. Nearby Gordonsville is great for lunch and dinner. The property is quiet and folks working the farm are friendly and helpful..

Nice place, furniture a little dated but great place if you are bringing pets

This is the second time we've stayed on the Wolftrap property. The property was amazing. The house we stayed in was different from our last stay and it was perfect. Horses just outside the house, wedding by the lake and a reception at the pavilion. Property manager was awesome. Always checking to see if we needed anything and ensuring our stay was meeting our expectations. We would and have recommended you stay at any house on the property as well as events such as a wedding.

Beautiful area, woke up to horses off the back porch. Adequate room for 5 adults and 1 child. Parents, daughter and grandchild used the room with bunk beds. Helpful property manager. Would stay again.
