Beautiful location, property well maintained. Mike was very nice. Only issue that I think needs to be tended to is there was a musty smell or dog pee smell. Carpet in back bedroom had stains possibly from someone’s animals. Maybe if you take that out and put tile down that would take care of the issue. Other than that we love it there. Hot tub was a huge plus. We would stay there again.

Great location. We enjoyed our stay at Dixieland and besides the funky smell (which is probably to be expected at a cottage) is was clean and well-kept. Nice hot tub and everything worked fine. :)

Loved the place and area that was around it, old mans cave is just down the street and the astronomy park is near by for great star gazing.

We loved soaking in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The Final Four game was on and we were able to watch it on the outside TV by the hot tub. It was a nice touch!!

The location is wonderful. Beautiful views out the windows and easy drive to hiking trails. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked full meals during our stay. Comfortable beds and furniture. Nice space for our family of 4 to relax. We will definitely visit again. Mike was a wonderful host!

Internet was non-existent. Cleaning was inadequate -- carpet was dirty and there was a wad of hair on the shower drain. The water knob for the shower was just above my knees (I'm 5'10), yet the microwave was on top of the fridge. The cabin slept well and was spacious for a modular home. The location is good in proximity to the park. We stayed here because the Acorn property (same owner) was a nice experience this past fall. But not the same caliber :/

Impromtu weekend of hiking and this place was great! Locations was near great food, antique mall and the parks. The covered hot tub and tv on the deck was perfect for after a long day on our feet. Only issue (not enough to complain, just enough to not give 5 star) was the musty smell. Once the fan was turned on for a bit, it helped. We would come back.

Easy to find. There are so many more features than pictured. The outsoor deck has gates, perfect for keeping pets or children contained wwith you. The hot tub is huge, watching tv while relaxing in the hot tub my son loved. And the property has a short trail to walk pups, had a 50 foot lead to let them run, and trees spaced perfectly for our hammock. We travel with dog kennels and dog playpen. Both worked great. Thank you Mike for being responsive.

We're from Toledo and this is our 2nd time visiting the area. I like this place because it's not too far from the main park. We did want to go to the event that was at Ash cave Friday night but the rain kept us in. The spa was a nice end to a long hiking day on Saturday. Very nice place. Would definitely come back.

Dixie Land was a great place to stay. The location was great ( Dinos pizza and Grandma Fayes were close by for food and misc items) Also being close to Old Mans Cave was great. The cabin was very nice. We spent a lot of time on the deck with the steps leading to the firepit, and the hot tub was very relaxing. The kitchen had what we needed and if it didn't Grandma Fayes was just right down the road. The washer / dryer was a added bonus as well. Our daughter loved her room ... and the living room was a nice size. Big enough for our dogs crate to be set up for when they couldn't go with us. Dave was a great host. And Cheryl had the place nice and clean. We are already planning on visiting next year and staying at one of Daves lovely cabins.

Good location to all the trails. The rental was cozy and had what we needed. Being able to watch TV while using the hot tub was nice after a day of hiking. Verizon cell service stinks in this area, but it's good to unplug once in a while. Would recommend staying here.

Absolutely a great place to stay, very quiet and great scenery, we had some rough weather come through the area the day we arrived and some trees fell down but the owner was right on top of the situation and had them taken care of. But besides all that the cabin is a short drive from hocking hills a gas station with a mini store and also a popular country store, as well as a pizzeria and burger restaurant. The hot tub and private deck at night is very serene and relaxing. The deck is also fully enclosed so our dog was able to enjoy it as well. The yard is very large so if you are traveling with a dog plenty of room to enjoy. I would recommend staying here to anyone. As far as the house itself, you have just about everything you need, the beds are comfortable , everything is clean and well taken care of and maintained. All in all I don’t know what more to say, just an absolutely great place to stay.

The exterior lighting at night is dim at best. Upon entering was overwhelmed by a musty smell. This unit has a moisture problem. The vents had liquid pooling on them and the washing machine was unusable due to mildew growing. I tried wiping it up but decided not to use it. The microwave was not clean and there was something sticky on the oven handle. Since the unit smelled so strongly and the weather was good I had hoped to eat outside at the deck table but the chairs were caked in mildew. I found all of this unacceptable. When I contacted the owner he was disrespectful and basically said I couldn't prove it because I didn't take pictures! I did take pictures.
