Deep Run Fun - Luxury Lake Life

This Finger Lakes Premier Property location was extremely disappointing to say the least! Upon arrival, we immediately smelled a strong noxious odor resembling waste or sewage. The noxious smell was so overwhelming that we needed to leave within a few minutes to get fresh air. From outside, we contacted the host's customer service number and explained the situation. We were told they could not do anything until the next day as no one with authority was available to take the call. We urged customer service to reach emergency management, but no one contacted us. We left as there was no other choice, the smell was that unbearable. The property is in need of repair and maintenance and in our opinion should not have been made available for rent due to health concerns from the noxious and gagging smell that permeated the house. There was no return phone call that night. We reached out the following morning, and the host said no refund and was unresponsive that evening or thereafter. Their solution was to clean the property, but it was obvious to us that this was more than a cleaning/masking remedy. In our opinion it was a health hazard. Our vacation was ruined. The photos the host posted on the VRBO property rental listing are misleading. We included a few but not all examples in this review of the host's photos and the current photos we took. We stayed in many vacation rentals and have had great experiences, but not this one. In good faith, we cannot recommend this property.

The bathrooms and kitchen were updated and fine except that the refrigerator froze a dozen eggs and you had to hold the toaster down to have it work. The sign over the kitchen sink said that there was a septic system, while the listing said it was a public sewer. The furniture was old and stained and hard as a rock. There were ants everywhere. The fireplace said it was decoration only while the listing said it was electric. Most of the beds were old and not updated. Thank goodness it was next to Deep Run Park, so the children could swim and play in the sand there because the beach at the house was not very accessible.The grill doesn't work...after having hamburgers on it for an hour, they were still raw. The internet went down suddenly, and there were no instructions for resetting it. We left a day early! For the daily charge, I would never stay there again. My photos aren't loading, but they were sent to the property Manager yesterday. I was renting this cottage so that my family could spend some quality time together. Instead, none of us wanted to be there. I came to Premier Properties because they looked like their rentals would be of the highest quality. Very disappointing.

Comfortable and on th lake

I booked this house for my 55 birthday I brought along some of my bestest friends to help me celebrate. The house was very nice and spacious. Plenty of room for all of us and we loved being right on the lake

We had 4 families and the sleeping arrangements were perfect The water is very accessible and great for refreshing dips. We made some great family memories The sunsets were beautiful The house provided everything you need for kitchen ware

Overall we had a nice stay. The outside patio area is the nicest part of the rental. Although it has been remodeled, it is lacking some TLC. The furniture in the living room all needs replaced. The sofa has no padding and it feels like you are sitting on boards. It is also so stained that my husband wouldn't even sit on it. The other upholstered chairs in the room are also stained. The appliances in the kitchen are fairly up to date but the drip pans under the cooking coils are black with burnt on spills--they need replaced. It could be a much nicer rental with a little attention to details. The weather was amazing the whole week so we did end up having a relaxing stay.

The cottage looks exactly like the pictures on your websight. It was clean & comfy. It is conveniently located near everything with a beach right next door. We had a great vacation!

Easy checkin, everything you need is there. Right on the water, basically in the water.

Came up to got to a show at CMAC and had a perfect place to stay and hang out before and after the show. Enjoyed the fire pit so much and loved that we could dock our boat right at the property. Great place!

Wonderful trip, only complaint would be the super small water tank. We had 10 people staying and almost everyone had a cold shower. Thank you!
