Enjoy beautiful Lake Independence 25-30 miles NW of Marquette, MI with a 3-bedroom lake cottage right on the southside of the lake with a sandy beach and dock. Pontoon not included, but there is an open boat slip on our dock (mid-June through mid-October). 2 kayaks and stand up paddleboards with oars are included.

Stayed May 30, 2026This was our first stay so far north, it was a perfect location.Surrounded by hiking trails and coastal views. The city was a short drive away for any necessities.Favorite part was having a cozy place with Lake view to wake up to and watch the sun go down. Amazing!Host was incredibly attentive to our needs. Stayed Jul 21, 2025This is perfect, very well stocked, all cooking utensils, good working grill and the list goes on and on. Lake independence is huge, amazingly quiet. We saw loons, eagles, hummingbirds, redstarts and more. Stay here if you want to be way up in UP.
