Our updated, traditional 4-season cottage is located on one of the Kawartha’s best kept secrets, Four Mile lake. The lake is well preserved and full of wildlife, great fishing, and beautiful hillside landscapes.

The property is surrounded by towering pines, offering a private and peaceful vacation experience. The sloped landscape presents an elevated view of the lake from just about anywhere, with flat areas for the kids to play and plenty of deck and dock space for everyone tolounge and relax while listening to nature and taking in the Four Mile sunset. For those who like to explore, the property backs onto 54 acres of association owned land with several walking paths that run throughout.

Inside, the spacous kitchen and dining area make it easy to gather for a meal after a long day out in the sun, while the high ceiling great room (with pine floors milled from trees from the property) and screened in porch (with a live tree running right through it!) offer plenty of space to cozy up with a good book when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

Property is sloped with flat areas to congregate and play

There are 3 separate ways to get down to the water: poured concrete stairs on each side of the property as well as the wooden stairs down the middle – longest run of stairs is 12

Flat areas and staired access to the lake are child/elderly friendly – young children will need to be supervised due to landscaping

Waterfront: 60 ft

Swimming: stair access to large shallow area (depth~1.5-3ft), mostly mixed sand/pebble with some boulders sprinkled throughout – water is clear and clean

Docks: shoreline dock (40ft), extended dock (40ft length,100 sq ft platform) – 5ft depth at the end of the dock, with deep swimming beyond the dock as depth begins to drop rapidly – ladder at the end of the dock

Sandbox located one tier up (~5ft) from the dock level

Staired walk in entry to the lake – staircase into water is 5 ft wide, 6 steps, but does not have a handrail

No weeds – water shoes are suggested

Dock is large enough to hold an 18’ – 21” bowrider/pleasure/ski type boat or possibly larger

The lake is good for motorboats

14’ aluminum fishing boat with 5HP tiller motor available for rent.

The lake excellent for water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc.

Paddle boat and 2 stand up paddle boards
