Stayed Jan 1, 1Separate units plus large communal rooms worked very well. Grandchildren loved the large room to play in.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a great stay at Goodlake Barns. The barns are all spacious and well equipped. The Hub provided the perfect place for our large party to gather and celebrate my 70th birthday together. All the barns had a Christmas tree in them which was such a nice festive touch. The weekend could not have been better!

Stayed Jan 1, 1This is my second year of hosting my annual Christmas weekend for friends from across the country at Goodlake Barns. We had 26 of us this year and 24 last year. Goodlake Barns provides everything we need - flexible accommodation, excellent group social spaces, superb self-catering/kitchen facilities and the Hub gives us a space where we can all sit together for a fabulous Christmas dinner. The team at Stay Cotswold are fantastic and Shelly the property manager has always been incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommended and we are very likely to return again next year! We've tried a number of other properties across the country previously and Goodlake is the only one we've booked on more than one occasion!

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a fantastic weekend away at Good lake Barn, celebrating Mum’s 70th birthday. The location is beautifully peaceful, surrounded by lovely countryside and great walks. The barn itself was spotless, really well set out and equipped with everything we needed. Each family had their own space, with a large function room that was perfect for everyone to gather together. Communication with the hosts was excellent throughout. We even hired a private chef for one night, which made the weekend feel extra special. There are plenty of charming pubs just a short drive away too. All in all, a perfect weekend for a big family get-together. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Stayed Jan 1, 1We are an extended family of 24, so finding somewhere big enough for our annual get togethers is not easy. Goodlake Barns was perfect. We booked out all the cottages, which mean that each family unit had their own space, but we could easily congregate in The Barn and The Hub, which gave us more than enough living and dining space. That main kitchen was well equipped with multiple fridges and plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery for all our meals. The Hub also has a very large screen smart TV, which we used to share photos of our day in the evenings. All the cottages were well equipped, with fresh and modern facilities. My elderly Father, who has difficulty walking, was very happy with the disabled facilities in 'Blossom' cottage. Shelley's communication in the lead up to our stay was excellent, and I felt well informed and confident in our arrival arrangements etc. All in all a very pleasant stay, and I have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We booked the entire Goodlake Barns for a family re-union and it was absolutely perfect. The place is gorgeous and the surrounding area is beautiful too and a reasonable drive to great attractions. I would highly recommend it, especially for a big group. Thank you again!

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a fabulous time at Goodlake Barns. Everything we needed was provided (except real coffee - which would be nice!). The host was very flexible and even allowed us to have a pizza van on site for one evening. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We stayed at Goodlake Barns over a weekend for a family get-together. We hired all the cottages for 26 of us and it was absolutely ideal, it is very hard to find large accommodation that ticks all the boxes! Each family unit had their own space but there was plenty of room to get together inside and outside. The accommodation was very clean and very well equipped with extra touches (thank you for the cakes and fresh milk!) The cottages were bright and airy, furnishings and decor were spot-on to make us all feel very comfortable. The area is very pretty and peaceful, we found some lovely walks nearby. The communication with StayCotswold was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay, we have booked for next year!

Stayed Jan 1, 1We hired all of the barns for a family reunion and everything worked better than expected. The few problems we had were quickly solved by Shelley who was always easy to contact. The Barn and the attached function room was the hub for my 70th Birthday party and the 24 or so guests that we had. There was ample crockery etc for the weekend and also a lot of kit for little ones - two high chairs and a cot in most cottages. All of the cottages were well furnished and set up. I would highlight Blossom as a good cottage for anyone in a wheelchair and Price as the favorite for the two story cottages. But all are good.

Stayed Jan 1, 128 of us aged from 1 to 83 got together at Goodlake Barns for a long awaited four generation family reunion. There are very few places where you can get this number of people together in one place with suitable accommodation for all. And the added benefit of 'The Hub' room where we could all meet and eat together. Everyone commented on the high quality of the accommodation and facilities.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024We found Goodlake Barns to be a perfect location for our family reunion weekend. The barns were all very well equipped, clean and spacious - each with a good supply of useful sundry items and a welcome pack which was a nice surprise! The Hub provided an excellent space for rowdy children if they weren't in the garden and enabled us all to eat together in the evenings.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were delighted by the cleanliness and condition of the Barns. We rented all of them (other than there was no access code for Pony) other than through the Barn. The Hub and Bathroom were well stocked with glasses and kitchen utilities were ample for our purposes. We had a reception on the lawn for all our guests plus the Brides family on the Friday which worked well. The bed in the Main Barn above the kitchen is terribly hard because the mattress is far too thin /worn for the quality of accommodation. I didnt try the others.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We are a group of four families who have been holidaying together annually for over 30 years and now have the third generation in tow. As the group expands a single house is more difficult to find and this is the first time we have tried somewhere where there are individual properties in order to provide enough accommodation for all of us. The layout of the properties around a pretty courtyard and the ability to all seat together for our meals (and watch the England quarter finals Euro match) was a real bonus! The Barn enabled us to congregate as a group but having space in the other properties for anyone needing some time away from the noise and busyness of a large group was welcomed. All properties were decorated and furnished to a very high standard and very comfortable. We normally like to stay in different properties and locations each year but are very seriously considering returning to this property in the future.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate some special family birthdays. A 21st, 30th, 50th and 80th. Being able to stay together but have our own space when needed was fantastic. Each barn was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The larger barn and function room was so well designed and thought out and couldn’t have worked better as a communal hub. We hired an outside caterer for the Saturday so we could relax and enjoy being together. He was very impressed with the facilities and had everything he needed to make it run smoothly. Only one suggestion to the owner…Blossom Barn worked brilliantly for my parents and Auntie as it was all on one level and catered for disabled access. My Mum suggested a handle/rail near the toilet would be beneficial as she found it difficult to get up and down. Apart from that our stay was perfect. We are hoping to return one day
