Adorable rustic cottage hand-built in 1945—tiny but comfortable (525sf). This little gem is part of a group of 10 tiny cottages that were built in the early 50s and 60s by several families. Some are still owned by descendants of the original families. At different points there are a few families visiting their homes, but other times you have the whole place to yourself!
We are very attentive and caring owners and are pleased to share our cozy little getaway!

Stayed Jun 10, 2026This cottage was an absolute dream. The location is amazing, situated right on cedar lake only 30 minutes from Burlington, 15 minutes from vergennes and about 25 from Middlebury. It is surrounded by farms and farm stands with incredible produce and delicious creamees! Everything about it was perfect. The host was amazing, they literally thought of everything! My son especially enjoyed all the pumpkinseed sunfish around the beautiful dock and rides on the paddle boat. My wife and I shared one of the most magical evenings listen to thunder and rain pitter-patter on the roof while watching lighting illuminate the mountains framing the lake. The cottage is something straight out of a novel and I would give this place 20 out of 5 stars if I could. Would recommend to anyone considering it and will definitely be back!

Perfect communication and thanks for checking in if we were comfortable or needed anything - much appreciated. We had an incredible fall stay at this immaculate lakefront house! The home is beautifully maintained and spotless - one of the cleanest vacation rentals we’ve stayed in. Its location couldn’t have been more perfect - right on the lake with direct, easy access to the water off the dock. The property came fully equipped with everything we needed to enjoy the stay and the lake. Pedal boat and kayaks to fishing gear. A real treat was the sunrise. We made it a point to get outside each day to watch the sun emerge above the hills and lake. A wonderful experience. We can’t wait to come back!

Stayed Aug 21, 2025The cottage was just as described with the added bonus of a full kitchen albeit with out a dishwasher. The bagel toaster more than made up for that! We were here for a family wedding and it was great to come back to the lake for the peace and quiet!

Stayed Aug 1, 2025We had an amazing time at this perfect cabin/cottage/camp. It was a very relaxing stay. Roxanne thought of everything. We felt at home and had everything we needed while we were there! We plan on coming back next year and bringing our 3 kids with us! We cannot say enough good things about this perfect place!
