Charming little house with pool at the foot of the Luberon

It was gorgeous Provence trees and light and pool and a wonderful hostess

Lovely hosts. Accommodation comfortable but kitchen area very small and only 2 mugs and 2 bowls although plenty of plates. Linens a little tired, mattress rather soft and pillows lumpy. Wonderful views from terrace.

We spent 4 glorious days in the Sud Luberon, Cucuron, at Anne and Jean-Pierre's lovely little cottage. Quiet, peaceful and extremely picturesque area to enjoy small village markets, small cafes, and country lanes. We highly recommend this accomodation. Both Anne and Jean-Pierre were very welcoming hosts.

Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short but, the property is an efficient, clean, bungalow for exploring the Luberon.

What a fantastic glass cottage!!! This cottage is a great place for 2 people wishing to get away from it all, we spent an exceptional week there. Although this cottage might be described as small, it has everything that a couple would need. The kitchen is well equipped with a two ring hob which is supplemented by the addition of a gas BBQ which sits on the upper terrace at the back of the property. The comfortable double bed can be partitioned off from the rest of the cottage by a curtain. This cuts out all ambient light but as there isn’t any from the outside, except for the sunshine in the morning and the moonshine at night a comfortable night's sleep is not a problem. There is ample space for clothes and the storage of luggage. The bathroom is clean, compact and the shower powerful and, for those who do not holiday without a hairdryer, the one provided is standard size! There are sliding doors and windows front and back, which could negate the need for the air conditioning provided but this can also pump out warm air if the nights should turn chilly. Outside is a joy. The terrace is secluded and on two levels, both get the full sun for the vast majority of the day. The lower terrace has 2 comfortable loungers, a table and chairs whilst the upper terrace has the gas fired BBQ on which to cook all of the produce you have bought from the local markets. The pool is great for a cool off after a hot day seeing the sights of the Luberon. Parking is directly outside the cottage and is completely safe. Added to all that Anne and Jean-Pierre are the most welcoming of hosts, they certainly could not do enough for us when we were there but didn’t invade our privacy. Given it’s location, 6/7 minutes walk from the Place de l'Etang in Cucuron, this is an ideal spot to sit back, have a dip, a glass of something cold and enjoy the sky. Would we return, definitely. Nice property located at the hillside less than 10 minutes walk from the charming village of Cucuron. We didn’t need to use the car for the entire week. Ideal location for bisycking and walking. Anne and Jean-Pierre are the most kind hosts. With respect to temperature, the cooling pool and the geographical location at the hillside, made both afternoons and nights to a good experience (we slept very well without using the available air conditioning).

For anyone who loves the countryside but likes to be within easy reach of a small village for their daily bread, this is absolutely perfect. Right on the edge of the forest at the foot of the Mourre Negre, surrounded by wild flowers, birdsong and butterflies, we had a superb holiday as the first guests of Anne and Jean-Pierre. They are welcoming, kind and generous hosts who will do anything they can to make your holiday peaceful and relaxing. The pool is a delight on hot days, as is the air conditioning; the cottage itself (like a large, airy beach-hut) is comfortable, well equipped and secluded. There's plenty of room to lounge, read and eat outside, looking out onto the olive trees just beyond, with Mont Ste. Victoire in the distance. We enjoyed walking in the area, joining in the Fete de l'arbre de mai in the village, visiting the wine co-op and buying our bread straight from the organic bakery's wood oven. Shopping can be done in Pertuis, but the village supermarket supplies just about everything you need. We recommend La Petite Maison for a special meal... don't eat anything beforehand, though, as the portions are very generous! Thank you so much, Anne and Jean-Pierre - this has been one of the best holidays we've ever had, and we can't wait to return.
