We had a great stay. The location is great, close enough to town for easy access, but not too close. The beds are very comfortable, even the foldout couch. It is a wonderful place to be if you do not want to be bothered. Laurie is great, easy and relaxed.

This cottage fully lives up to its billing as magical. The furnishings are minimalistic and rustic - the screened in porch area is wonderfully immersed in the surrounding nature. The surrounding woods are beautiful and full of natural light and stars at nightfall. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet serene magical stay in the Woodstock area. Laurie was such a kind host, who checked in each day to see if she could make our stay more comfortable. Her place was so cute and homey. We had our baby moon there and were looking for a calm, peaceful place. Needless to say, this place was it! There were so many restaurant choices nearby and Laurie made great recommendations too.

We had a wonderful 4 day stay in the woods at Laurie's cottage. The screened in porch overlooking the woods was our favorite place to hang. Easy and quick access to both the town and beautiful hikes. Would recommend checking out some of the land sanctuaries that are just minutes away. Beautiful and definitely 'roads less travelled'... as we felt like the forests were ours alone. Laurie was a great and accomodating host. Highly recommend!

Our family had such an AMAZING stay at Laurie’s charming guest cottage. It’s tucked away in the most quiet, peaceful wooded setting, while being a quick 5 minute drive to all of the charming shops and restaurant in downtown Woodstock. Laurie was a fantastic host, making sure we had absolutely everything we could possibly need and checking in with us throughout our stay. We made daily use of the heated in-ground pool, enjoyed morning coffee on the enormous screened-in porch, and used the provided list of local recommendations as a guide when choosing what activities to do and restaurants to enjoy. We are already looking forward to coming back for another stay next year! Thank you so much, Laurie!!

I feel really lucky to have snagged this place! My family of four had the most relaxing, restorative stay at Laurie’s cottage. Laurie has thought of everything and was incredibly hospitable. We all really enjoyed the outdoor seating areas, where we could listen to the nature around us. The swimming pool was perfect. The towels were amazing. A very comfortable place which we were all a bit bummed about having to leave! We sure hope we can come back and spend some more time!

WOW. There’s a small part of me that hates leaving 5 stars because I want to gate-keep this oasis!! Laurie’s place is a dream. Peaceful, cozy, with every little amenity you could need. The screen-in porch is a complete game-changer. Laurie is the perfect balance of available and invisible. We felt cared for and totally private! The towels, linens, kitchenwares, etc. are all great quality, we really had just the loveliest time. The property is gorgeous, the pool is wonderful. We are already scheming how to get back!

Laurie and David’s guesthouse in the woods is bright, clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and peaceful. The bedroom is like a little chalet of white pine, the smell so fresh and woodsy. Our favorite things were reading on the beautiful screened porch surrounded by woods and swimming in the ocean blue saltwater pool. Laurie was so responsive and kind. When we asked if there was an outdoor umbrella, she went into town to buy us one. The whole experience exceeded our expectations.

I had extended my stay from before so this is just another post to say how wonderful this space is! I can’t wait to come back in the fall and experience the foliage! The hosts were amazing and I only saw them if something was needed or if I sought them out. You won’t be disappointed staying at this little retreat!

The guesthouse was exactly as described. Laurie and Dan were great hosts! I enjoyed staying here so much I extended my trip a week! The pool was amazing to use during the heat wave and being in the peaceful atmosphere was very nice to work in.

Our stay at Laurie's place was nothing short of amazing. The space is even better then it looks in the photos. Its very private and the surrounding nature is beautiful. We came out for our anniversary and it was very romantic. Nestled amidst the serene and picturesque landscape of Woodstock, NY, this cottage provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The screened in porch was awesome for doing work among nature. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and hope to come back soon! Laurie and David were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure we had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. They also provided a helpful guidebook with local recommendations, which was a great resource for exploring the area. Their warmth and hospitality truly added to the overall positive experience.

Really beautiful and cozy Airbnb. The home was private with an epic screened in porch. The home had great baby proof touches like outlet plugs and a high chair that made it a nice and easy stay with our one year old. Most importantly, super clean and free of clutter. Really lovely decor and design.
