Charming 2BR Highlands Cottage with Cozy Fireplace, 3 Min to Main St & Dry Falls

The cottage was clean and spacious for a quick weekend to Highlands, NC. Living room w fireplace was perfect for an early morning coffee in front of fireplace and a nap mid-afternoon. The two bedrooms had comfortable beds and linens for hot and cold sleepers. We had several options for coffee machines and we threw a pizza in the oven late night. The cottage is a quick drive to shopping and restaurants. High marks: as a guest, we were not asked to change bed linens, vacuum, clean the bathroom…in other words we were in and out without home owner chores. Hurrah ! If all vacation rentals were this..vacation”ish”. I could live there. Thank you. bg

The location is great to Main st and Falls. The house is very nice, clean and cozy. Cross street has a nice restaurant which add on for the long journey travelers. Two minutes has barbecue restaurant. We have a wedding at old Edwards farm, only 7 minutes away. highly recommended. Will go back to the house for vacation. Thank you for the owner giving detail info.

We had the loveliest stay at this beautiful and thoughtfully appointed cottage! The location couldn’t be more convenient. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable, the living space cozy, the kitchen well stocked— we cooked several meals and every instrument we needed was there. The communication before and during our stay was excellent, and we particularly appreciated the easy checkout process that made our exit much easier with two kids under 5 years old. We cannot wait to return!

Charming cabin with a cozy atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace, which we used each morning and evening. Our friends stayed in the downstairs bedroom while we had the spacious upstairs room; both were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The kitchen is small but very well equipped, with a wide variety of coffee-making options. Conveniently located near shops and great restaurants, making it an excellent place to stay.

Very clean home, host is very responsive, and close to downtown.

Great property with ample room for 2. Love the restaurant across the street and proximity to downtown Highlands. Hosts were incredibly responsive. Only downside was invasion of ants in kitchen, the hosts promptly had local cleaning lady bring traps.

We had a great trip to highlands to hike the beautiful waterfalls in the area for my teenage son’s spring break. The cabin was beautiful and minus a couple of small hiccups, was exactly what I was looking for. The front door would not lock from the outside, however it did lock from the inside and there was a second entrance. The owner was extremely responsive to my concerns and I will happily stay there again! 9/10 highly recommend!

Stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it! So cute and clean and host Andreea was very responsive from my initial contact. So close to downtown, right across the street from a wine bar and close to warerfalls. Would definitely recommend!

My sister, nephew and I had a very enjoyable time in the Author’s Cabin. The only drawback is that we were on a main road and traffic in the am was a distraction. The fireplace is very cozy and really heats the entire cabin. I would recommend it to anyone!

Well located Highlands cottage; tastefully rustic without being kitchy. Suited our needs (2 couples for weekend) perfectly.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was everything advertised. The downstairs bedroom is cooler than upstairs but probable only applies in the peak summer months. The only downside is there is really nowhere to walk your dog. And you have to be on your game when exiting the driveway. But overall we would stay there again.

This property was perfect for our two day jaunt. For two adults, who didn't want to drive far at night for dinners, the location was perfect. It is close to town, Bridal Fall, Dry Falls, and not too far from Secret Falls.

Cozy with so much charm. The location was great. Loved being able to walk across the street to On the Veranda restaurant. Delicious dinner with a killer view! The property was as described, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend!

I wish we could've stayed longer. It was a great place. Did not get to spend much time there, as we had a reunion up the hill a bit.
