Bramble Cottage, Sleeps 6 With Shared Heated Pool In Beautiful Rural Setting

La Petite Metairie is a friendly family run establishment comprising of several gîtes, all very picturesque converted farmhouse/farm buildings, situated in beautiful countryside. There is a heated outdoor pool and extensive kids' play area shared between them, with climbing frame, swings, play houses, etc, plus ping pong table. They can also provide things like high chairs and bed guards which is very handy. It is about half an hours' drive from a large number of beaches and nice coastal towns and villages. Auray, and Ile de Moins via foot passenger ferry from Port Blanc (€5 per adult) were particular highlights for us. We hired bikes and a bike trailer on Ile de Moins, which was the best way to explore, as there are hardly any cars on that island so it feels very safe and relaxed riding there. Another place worth visiting is Loqmariaquer which is a nice little town to lunch on the coast before seeing some of the Neolithic stone constructions/arrangements that are within an easy walk of the town (including a Neolithic burial structure that you can go inside of, next to the picturesque Loqmariaquer beach). There was so much to do both in the area and at the gîte that we are already planning a return trip next year! Note: we stayed in Orchard Cottage (two bedroom cottage).

We enjoyed a two week stay in Bramble cottage with our teenage daughter. The Gite was clean and very well maintained by the owners who were on hand to give any help or information required without being intrusive. We made good use of the heated pool and the outside space which proved to be a relaxing suntrap for drying off!. We had visits to nearby beaches and trips to the pretty town of Vannes. Also found St Anne D'auray to be both scenic and moving with its war memorial and gardens. The area was quiet and rural but we found the local supermarkets stocked everything necessary and were easy to shop in with our limited language skills!

We had an excellent autumn holiday at The Brambles. 6 adults, 4 played golf and 2 cycled. The accomodation was very warm and inviting and we were well looked after by Joanne and Adrian. There was plenty of hot water for showers after long cycle rides and 5 rounds of golf. Would definetely go back and made of feel very welcome and right at home.

The Gites are situated in a lovely spot and we had a warm welcome. We wanted a 3 bedroom gite that was furnished to a lovely standard and offered all the amenities that we needed. Bramble Cottage was perfect. All the bedrooms were a good size giving all of us the space that we needed. It also had two bathrooms and a down stairs toilet which proved to be very useful (especially as we had teenagers). The large kitchen/diner and sitting room were good too. Everything was to a pleasing standard. Though our children were too old for some of the play items, they did enjoy the table tennis, football table and pool. Sadly due to the weather and that we only had a week, we did not use the pool as much as we would have liked. One item that kept our teenagers very happy was the good access to WiFi!! When the weather was good we went to the beaches at Carnac. We loved them. Roughly half an hours drive, and if you arrive by early afternoon, finding a parking space and room on the beach is easy as the locals don't seem to go to the beach until 4. Beautiful sand and lovely clear sea. Lovely gite, would happily book again if we go back to the area.

This well-equipped, clean and tidy property was perfect for our three-generation family to enjoy a comfortable break. There was plenty for the children to do and they loved the freedom of the big park playing area and the pool, while the grandparents enjoyed country walks, soaking up the sunshine and some excellent restaurants in the area. Joanne and Adrian are excellent hosts.
