The cottage itself is very cute, and we loved the property and location — it was close to everything we needed. The hot tub was a nice feature, though the chemical level seemed very strong. The cottage could use a bit more attention to detail. The bathtub did not drain properly during our stay.Unfortunately, communication with the owners was disappointing. We experienced several issues, including the power going out, loss of heat in half of the cottage, and the hot tub not working. With temperatures in the 20s, this was especially concerning. We texted the owner, who said he would contact someone to help, but we never heard back. We followed up with additional messages and still received no response or solution.Given the circumstances, the lack of follow-through felt very unprofessional

The cottage was located in a great and quiet area of Blowing Rock. Many great hiking trails in the area and close to shops and restaurants. The cottage was perfect for us but space is limited. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet place to relax.

We were never able to get into the rental. Digital door code did not work. Tried contacting Host without timely response.Drove 3 hours back home with no resolution. Don't know if rental was nice or not.Drive up to rental on property roads were somewhat treacherous. Don't try it in bad weather. VRBO was great in their response to our issue with this rental.

Perfect getaway for a couple (and small pups!)This was the perfect mountain escape for us. The front yard offers beautiful deer sightings and peaceful nature views, and the location is unbeatable—just about 5 minutes from Blowing Rock, Boone, Tweetsie Railroad, the outlets, and the mall.If you’re in town, don’t miss Town Tavern and Bistro Roca, and make sure to stop by Kilwins in downtown Blowing Rock for a late-night treat. The outdoor space beside the home is flat and ideal for pets to roam, which was a huge plus for us. The photos are completely accurate—everything looks exactly as pictured. Another great perk was the fast, reliable WiFi.The owner was friendly, quick to respond, and communicated clearly throughout our stay.Winter note: If you’re visiting during colder months, an SUV is highly recommended. We managed without one, but if we had stayed just one more day with incoming weather, we likely would have gotten stuck. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly mountain retreat.

Very relaxing stay. It rained on our last night and the sound was so peaceful. No cars, trains or boats to be heard like our house in MO.

The cottage was exactly what we needed! It was two adults and two dogs. Perfect for a quick night away. The property had plenty of space for the dogs to run and was very quiet yet we were close to both Blowing Rock and Boone. We would definitely come back!

It was lovely, charming and peaceful, with everything you’d need! I loved the hot tub and the view (which my pup also enjoyed). The bed was super comfy and it was great to have a washer and dryer. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a great stay at this precious cottage. We went to Tweetsie Railroad for the day and this house was in a perfect location (5 min away). We had our 2 year old and 11 month old. We had enough room to set up the pack and play for the baby and we squeezed our toddler in the bed with us. The yard was perfect for us to play ball with our toddler. We loved this property and we plan to come back for a stay!

The cottage smelled of dog the instant we walked in. The sheets and towels smelled like they had already been used and there was urine and specks of feces in the toilet. We wondered if the most important place to clean when people were coming over, the toilet, wasn’t clean, did anything get cleaned. That made us leave and not stay the night. The location was beautiful but the path to the pond was covered with dog feces. There should have been something to help remind dog owners to pick up after their pet. We would have.

Husband and I needed a break from life. We couldn’t stay long because of work and busy kids. However we didn’t want our 26th anniversary to slip by unnoticed. The property was just what needed peace and solitude. We got in the hot tub, sat by the pond and had coffee on the front porch. The perfect ways to just be together. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Host was gracious and answered all of our questions. Would definitely stay again another time. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed at Clementine for a weekend getaway with our pups. The dogs loved to explore the large property available. The location of the cottage was excellent, about 8 mins to downtown blowing rock and 10 minutes to Boone. The cottage was clean and very cute. We had an amazing time and would love to come back!!

The space was adorable and all we could have asked for. Inside it was comfortable and felt like home. The porch, hot tub and property made it an even better experience. It was perfect for my dog to be able to play and feel relaxed inside. The driveway wouldn’t be great for someone without AWD.

We stayed at the Clementine cottage during fall move-in week for App State. At the cottage, we were away from the hustle and bustle of all the downtown crowds but within a quick 10 minute drive back to campus area to meet our son, help with the move, or grab a quick bite. We were also close to Blowing Rock which is one of our favorite places to visit in the mountains. The house is close to everything but you also get to enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm setting. Our dogs enjoyed daily walks through the woods and a couple swims in the pond. We saw lots of wildlife and a family of deer visited almost every day. The house was comfortable and had all the necessities. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Boone.
