Beautiful, Family-friendly lakefront Cottage on a popular sandbar.

Had such a wonderful stay in Marmora at the McLeans cottage. It's private, cozy, clean and the property is just beautiful. The water was crystal clear and sandy and we saw some fun wildlife up close while out on the kayaks. Cannot wait to return next summer!

This beautiful cottage is located on a large treed waterfront lot. It is great if if you like to spend time on the water either swimming, kayaking, boating, or just enjoying time on the dock. We spent most of our time kayaking around Crowe Lake, and exploring different parts of the lake and river. It is located on a sandbar that is really shallow and safe for swimming. The cottage has everything you need, and the loft has really nice views of the lake.

Overall had a good stay. Kitchen was fully stocked and the location was great new BBQ and nice patio. Very close to town.Cottage is dated and needs updating though. Holes in screens, all water toys and dock umbrellas broken or missing.Also for the cost per night the host should not be asking the guests to clean the cottage nor should they have to deal with all the recycling or garbage after the week is over.Also be warned. Because they are on the sandbar it brings everyone from the lake and the river right out front of the cottage every day. So if you want pure peace and quiet it’s not here. There was even a DJ playing on a boat on the weekend 20 ft from the cottage. We did still enjoy our stay.

Cottage has enough room to sleep 4 or 5 comfortably. It has a fair amount of privacy, nice water view, and close to town. We caught some small fish and there was no traffic on nearby roads. There was lots of dead wood lying around to burn in the fire pit and internet service was decent. We bought a mop to clean the floors but otherwise the cottage had most necessities.

There are scores of rental choices in the area, and we've been to several, but this is our top choice when it's available. Host is always most helpful and responsive to inquiries. Great spot!

We had a wonderful time at the Crowe Lake Escape. This A-frame cottage is situated on a large property with waterfront access to Crowe Lake. The neighbours on either side are very quiet. There is a really nice dock and a small beach to launch kayaks or a paddle boat. The water is very warm and shallow, and safe for swimming. The cottage is spacious with a nice loft, and big bright windows, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who loves spending time on the water.

We had an amazing time at the cottage (5 nights). The lake offers a lot of fun, especially with the kayaks. The garden is perfect, we really enjoyed the bbq. The interior is spacious enough, perhaps slightly outdated, but perfectly functional. Contact with the renter was lightning fast.

Cottage is nice, property is big and well shaded with mature trees. Loved the dock and the view was amazing. The water was so warm and the sandy beach access for the dogs was nice. Dogs and us lived in the water all week!! The sand bar extends for about 150 feet from shore before it gets deep enough to swim, highly recommend surf socks or some kind of foot wear when swimming as it is all sand but tons of clam shells. I got a 2” gash in my foot from one of the shells. The fire pit was close to the water so gave a nice ambiance while sitting by the fire. The owners were very good with any concerns we had and we are thinking of coming back next Sept again for maybe two weeks
