BEACH COTTAGE BY THE SEA....

We loved this quiet property, right on the water. The house was clean and perfect for my mom and me. I didn’t use the kitchen but it was stocked with a lot of stuff. Towels for the beach were provided, along with chairs for sitting on the beach. There is a rinse off area in the back of the house, but to turn the water on you have to go in front of the house. I absolutely would return.

Beautiful scene. Sunrise on the beach is perfect. Loved the low waves. Was easy to swim. The home was so cute! They were FULLY stocked. Anything that you think you may need and it’s there. The bed was squishy comfy. Even when we stayed inside, we had a gorgeous view from the sunroom. The neighbors were super friendly. The host was very responsive and extremely nice! Will definitely return to this little paradise!

We LOVED our stay and it was so relaxing. We traveled with an infant (5 months) and it went great. The Jacobs were so generous and offered us an early day check-in and late check-out free of charge. The sunrises were EXTRAORDINARY and the property is fully stacked with anything you need but might forget. Ex: we forgot our bug spray and found one on the property! The property is clean, kitchen fully functional and well stocked with cooking/serving wear. Freezer has an ice maker and that was great. Notes for future travelers:- The property is small, think trailer house. So if you have tall/large travelers, this might not be the place for you. My husband managed to be okay, but was not able to be in certain parts of the property.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay, our three year old son couldn't get enough of swimming and jumping in the water. Everything we needed was available for our use. Thanks for letting us enjoy your awesome little cottage!

This cottage was the perfect little getaway, very cozy and intimate with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away from the world. The beach was beautiful with great sand and nice water, and the kayaks were a treat to use. The house was equipped with everything we could have needed and more. Would love to come back!

Nice quiet location on the Chesapeake is exactly what we wanted. Watching the dolphins in the morning was great. Being from Wisconsin around noisy cities of Milwaukee and Chicago this getaway was perfect. Thank you

The house is small, but works great for a getaway and has everything you need. We spent most of our time at the beach or on the deck -- so peaceful!

Everything associated with our stay was superior. The cleanliness, the arrangements inside the home, the view, the varied wildlife we saw, the local trips we took, the day cruise to Tangier Island, and most importantly, the personal care that the host took to welcome us to celebrate my 80th birthday. I love taking photos and this is an amazing location for that. The Herons, Bluebirds, Eagles, and even a hummingbird seemed to be posing for a photo. And the stars at night over the Chesapeake allowed me to take night photos that I could not have gotten from a less dark place. This is by far the best mini vacation we have taken at a cottage anywhere. And to top it off, the neighnor was very helpful and the locals we met were all very friendly. We strongly recommend this beach cottage!

My 2 granddaughters (ages 5 & 10) and I had a wonderful 4 day 3 night stay here. The cottage was so clean, had tons of both bathroom and kitchen items for us to use, kayaks, beach chairs and boogie boards for us to use, and the cottage is decorated so nicely with beachy-themed decor. Be mindful that it is small, but it is exactly how it is portrayed in the listing. Perfect for us. Just walk out the front door, across the yard, and you are on the private beach. Located in a quiet neighborhood, yet just minutes away from Reedville which has excellent seafood restaurants. We enjoyed it so much!

This was such an amazing end to summer and back to school surprise for our daughter!!! My hubby and I had been before and we knew we had to bring her. It was nothing short of amazing from the beautiful, scenic beach, and 5 minute ride into town that brought you the best eats!! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home! The Tassitano Family

Great peaceful getaway we loved the beach the little cottage great with everything you need

Our stay for 2 weeks was awesome! Couldn’t get enough of the view! Lived on the deck. Private beach was amazing and the house was fully stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. This was our first vacation in 50 years without any kids or grandkids and it was super relaxing and quiet. would definitely go back as long as I don’t have to bring kids or grandkids!

We had the best stay in this cottage. My 7 year old son spent all day on the beach/in the river enjoying swimming, kayaking and boogie boarding! I loved that he didn't have to sacrifice his playtime for my daughter's nap time or anything because the beach was literally in the backyard!! The house is very clean and they have everything you need. The owner is very quick to respond if you have any questions. Friendly and welcoming people. Highly recommend!!! We gave this weekend trip to our son and daughter-in-law for combined birthdays! Their review…. “This was a lovely maintained home with lots of amenities. The setting is absolutely perfect as my hubby and I said escape to paradise. Everything about this trip was perfect from the weather, the beach, the community, the peacefulness, just everything!!!! We also appreciated Charles and Chrissy they were amazing hosts!!! The communication with them was seamless. Also, the wine that was left to enjoy for my Hubby’s and my early 40th birthday was much appreciated!!! We have not traveled just the two for a couple of years when we celebrated my hubby’s 40th!! This escape to Reedville as we called escape to paradise was just what we needed. This was a gift from our parents and we can't wait until our next visit, when we bring our daughter in August.

This was our second time staying at this property. We loved being right on the beach. The house was well stocked, and the kids spent hours each day playing in the sand and waves. We hope to return in the future!
