Woodstock, New York
Creek Cottage was built in 1939. A charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath home that has been updated with the aim of keeping the original farmhouse touches that make it very special. The photographs express it best. About .7 miles—or 14 uptown blocks— from the center of Woodstock, it’s an easy walk for city dwellers. But if you want to drive, it will take you about 3 minutes.
The cottage is truly cozy, but not because it’s tiny because it isn’t. It is just warm and welcoming, and it will bring a smile to your face as soon as you walk through the front door. The wide plank floors, beamed ceiling, and fireplace with original wood framing are striking. This is clearly a house where you can kick your shoes off and relax.
The kitchen is vintage in style but has modern appliances (no dishwasher, though). The large farm table can easily seat 6, and you’ll enjoy the views into the woods through the huge windows on two sides. On this main floor, there is a bathroom with shower, and you’ll find the washer/dryer here as well.
Both bedrooms are upstairs. One has a king-size bed, and the other has two twin-size beds. The bathroom has a tub and shower combination. In addition, there is a sitting area with a comfy couch and 43” flat-screen television, utilizing Sling TV. Of course, we have WiFi, too, so if you must engage with the 21st century on your vacation, you can!
Outside is a wooden deck with table and chairs. In summer, fresh herbs grow in the flowerpots, ready for you to pick fresh to use for your culinary endeavors. There is also a gas barbecue grill for your enjoyment, and we will supply the gas. Enjoy your meal looking right into the woods, and listen—much of the time you can hear the creek for which the cottage is named.

We loved the cottage and it’s great location a very peaceful setting and the owner gave attention to small details that made for a very nice stay.
This was my second time staying at this cozy cottage with my dog to do some relaxing and some hiking to see the fall foliage. It was another great time. I chose to stay here again because the property is so pretty and it just has everything you’d ever need — from all the kitchen supplies to reliable WiFi. And this time Robyn provided some delicious local coffee and snacks! My dog enjoyed having a yard to run around a bit and we both felt quite at home.
We truly enjoyed our long weekend at the cottage. It was charming, clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Town is a short drive away for shopping and restaurants and there are many trails nearby. Robyn, the property manager, was wonderful as well. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely cottage!
Great
Took a long weekend off to visit the mountain area. Enjoyed
We have stayed at the property multiple times and it has always been a great experience. Clean, convenient, cozy, well appointed and Robyn is outstanding to work with.
The property manager is amazing. Robyn couldn't have been better to work with.
My friend and I stayed in this cozy farm house over the xmas weekend 2022. Robyn, the host, was quick to respond to inquiries. The house was fully equipped with everything needed ...we felt at home. Town is approximately a 20 minute walk and there are several hiking trails nearby, however need a car to get to trails. Overall, great stay and highly recommend!
would love to return. soo much character and less than a mile from Tinker Street.
I have stayed at this cute cottage several times! It’s a quick trip into town. It’s cozy for hanging out with my family. We love playing games on the kitchen table with large glass windows and great view of the woods. Thank you for another wonderful trip!
This darling cottage was the absolutely perfect place for our girls weekend. Neat, clean, perfectly laid out, picturesque and quaint. So peaceful and relaxing. Close to town of Woodstock for eating, drinking and shopping. I can't wait to go back foe another magical weekend.
Cozy cottage, extremely clean. Perfect romantic getaway. Close to Woodstock, two minutes from a great hike on Overlook Mountain. Robyn is wonderful to work with. We have been coming to Woodstock for nine years, staying a month or two each year. This is one of the best properties.
We had the most wonderful stay at the cottage! Robyn was extremely accommodating and quick to respond!! We would definitely love to stay there again!
My husband and I enjoyed a cozy two nights here. It was cold outside, but warm in the cottage. The bed was very comfortable. The TV allowed us to livestream a concert that night. The kitchen had everything we needed. And sitting outside watching the leaves fall was peaceful and lovely.
Great stay and wonderful communication with the property manager!
We really enjoyed staying at this property for our Woodstock weekend. The house is very clean, love the big sunny kitchen and the comfortable TV area upstairs. The town is just a couple of minutes away by car, loved exploring and enjoying the restaurants. Would happily rent again - thanks!
Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, fabulous fire pit and deck added to the darling stone cottage in the woods! Upstairs shower pressure was poor however. Had to use first floor bath. A beautiful weather weekend added to this special place!
We had such a wonderful stay! The cottage was super cute nestled in the trees! It was a quick ride into town! The property manager was very responsive and helpful! Looking forward to staying again!
This is the second year we have rented this lovely home. The owners are attentive and fabulous.
Creek Cabin is a cute older home that has been renovated. It stayed cool despite the summer heat and AC was strong when needed. There is a big and well-equipped kitchen and a nice patio out back (didn’t use patio due to rain). For tall folks (probably anything over 6 feet), be aware that the ceilings are quite low and have exposed beams. Bottom of beam seems only about 6 feet above floor. Also for those with kids or pets, or unsteady on their feet: there is a banister on the wall side of the stairs, but the other side has no banister or railing and someone could tumble right off. For petite, healthy adults, it is a great woodsy getaway.
Peaceful and Idyllic
