Stayed Apr 14, 2022What a fantastic property with lovely spacious private grounds, situated in a quiet lane a few short minutes drive from the lovely town of Carmona. We came from the UK and had a very comfortable stay here over a hot week at Easter, the house stayed beautifully cool whilst the temperatures outside soared - there are also ceiling fans in all rooms though we didn't need to use them. Spotlessly clean and super-comfortable generously sized beds (no lumpy mattresses here!), and well proportioned rooms with lovely high ceilings and tiled floors. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and all rooms well furnished. The house is frequently used by the owner's family in-between holiday rentals so has a very homely feel, and Juanjo was the perfect host, friendly, extremely helpful and full of enthusiasm, communicating with us brilliantly before and during our stay, yet also very respectful of our privacy whilst there. His English is very good! Our kids loved the pool (albeit cold at Easter!) and our teenagers the table tennis table. There was plenty of room to kick a ball about and the lovely orange grove and citrus trees were a great bonus - especially the freshly picked lemons for G&T! We had plenty of outdoor meals / bbqs on the terrace and there is welcome shade to be found under the various trees in the peaceful garden. The family keep chickens (fenced in round the back of the house) which also added to the rustic feel of this lovely place. If you want to stay in an authentic Spanish home this is the perfect property, and within easy reach of many places of interest including Seville and Cordoba. Carmona itself is a fantastic local town with its Roman ruins, its impressive ancient fortress that dominates the town centre and its many charming winding backstreets filled with typically Spanish architecture, huge churches, and there are many typically Spanish eateries, coffee shops and little boutiques/shops dotted about. We especially enjoyed the non-toursity feel of the place and the complete absence of any chain type shops (apart from the supermarkets of course, of which there is a good choice - Mercadona, Aldi, Lidl etc). Juanjo was able to advise on everything - including where to go for gluten free dining, so we lacked nothing! Thank you Juanjo and family for a wonderful stay. We very much hope to return!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great week at Juan Jose's villa. The house is lovely and the grounds are vast - there were fresh lemons and figs in the orchard which were delicious. Juan Jose was on hand with lots of helpful recommendations of places to eat to make our stay even better. Would recommend it for a relaxing week, but is still within driving distance of Seville and Cordoba for those looking for a bit more sightseeing

Stayed Apr 16, 2019The whole stay was perfect! First, the location: only 20-25 minutes from the airport, it is extremely easy to get to the house when you land. 5 minutes from Carmona, which is a charming little town, worth at least a few hours of wandering around in cute little streets 30 minutes from Seville 75 minutes from Cordoba and 2h20 from Granada, which we both visited for a day trip. Then, the house itself: in the countryside, quiet, very spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, with absolutely everything you need to prepare simple to gourmet meals. We did not get to use the pool because of the season we were there, but it would definitely be very enjoyable in the late Spring and Summer. The garden is pretty and you can eat fresh lemons and oranges every day. Finally, I'm keeping the best for the end, the host: Juan is super friendly. He was in touch with us prior to our arrival in order to provide additional information and help us get there. He opened the house and showed us around while providing advice to organize our visits. He also checked in during the week to make sure that everything was perfect for us. If we ever go back to Andalucia, we would return to this house in a heartbeat.

Stayed Aug 12, 2017This house was a real find and we had the most excellent week there. We were extremely comfortable - good beds and pillows, good kitchen, comfy sofa - and everyone had plenty of space. It was a real treat to have a large garden to play in (variations of cricket and football) and the pool was perfect. Big enough for lengths and enticing enough for the youngest to progress from refusing to let us take his armbands off to swimming a width in the week. The older children played in it for several hours every day. It was lovely to have it to return to after a hot sightseeing outing, and know the children would have something fun to do. Location was superb. We were parked in Seville around 30 mins after leaving the house: close enough not to need to stay a whole day, but make several shorter visits, which worked well in the heat. Carmona itself is a pretty and interesting town, and we also visited Cordoba, a little over an hour away. House is very private but still easily accessible. We loved your house, Juan Jose! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
