Stayed Dec 31, 1969Finale Cottage was surprisingly spacious. It was tastefully furnished and very well equipped. The heating was effective and made it so cosy. It sits at the end of a little lane, so is quiet whilst being very close to pubs and local shops. We had a fantastic stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A very nice little cottage at the end of a very narrow street, just enough turning space to reverse into parking space. Very large boot room which was extensively used and a very welcoming lounge with large settee. Didn't need to make use of the wood burners as property was warm enough. Galley style kitchen very well equipped but a tight squeeze for two people in it at same time; could do with a proper old fashioned tin opener though. Dining room just enough room for 6 adults as it is. Bedrooms are a good size, had a travel cot in the largest one and still plenty of room. Beds are on the firm side but warm and cosy. I kept hitting my ankles on the bedstead though as I like to sleep with my feet hanging off the end! Only one bathroom which is a decent size and a downstairs loo as well which was good. Emergency light at top of stairs came on twice for some reason, both times during the night and had to reset the circuit breaker which was in the boot room. Other than that, a lovely little cottage overlooking fields behind and less than a minute's walk to the shop for fresh croissants and The Crown which serves good food at reasonable prices.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great stay at Finkle Cottage. It was a perfect cottage and excellent location for our visit to the Lake District with our three dogs. They loved the Boot Room and walks directly from the cottage. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this cottage if you are looking for a dog friendly holiday.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A very cosy and comfortable cottage which is in a great location. The owners have refurbished recently and it feels very homely. It is let down by some maintenance issues which need sorting out. When it rained heavily some damp patches appeared on the wall. Also the shower was difficult to turn down to a reasonable temperature. If these are sorted it would be perfect.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved our holiday with our 3 Cockapoos at Finkle Cottage! So much more space than we expected.. great enclosed large garden next to fields on one side, good to have the parking as Finkle St is tight! Beautifully clean, modern & so well equipped. The only tiny downside was the shower.. no idea how to make the water cooler, it was hot constantly. That small part was no real issue though as we were bowled over by everything else! Pooley Bridge itself is a great location and strolling to the 3 dog friendly pubs at the end of Finkle St, cafes and Chestnut House shop & gin emporium was absolutely fantastic! Ullswater Steamers a worth a trip over Ullswater and our walk to the waterfall at Aira Force was fab. Weall thoroughly enjoyed our stay & very happy with this beautiful cottage! Thank you!
