All the seaside villages along this coast are lovely to visit, each with its own distinct character. The larger resorts of Cromer and Sheringham are an easy drive away and offer great days out.

The Broads National Park, home to beautiful waterways and teaming with wildlife, is close by. River trips and boat hire are available.

A day out at the adventure park, BeWILDerwood, is a must if you have younger children and nearby Bacton Woods is ideal for walking, with or without dogs, and cycling. A visit to the famed Old Vicarage Gardens, East Ruston, is a real treat and golfers won’t be disappointed with three high quality courses nearby.

Beautiful National Trust properties and parks in the vicinity include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and Horsey Windpump. Late autumn and winter stays offer a very special experience. Hundreds of grey seals give birth to their pups along the shoreline of nearby Horsey Beach. You can witness this incredible sight from the Dunes.

And not forgetting, Norwich, a beautiful city steeped in history with two cathedrals, a castle, museums, theatres and home to the ’The Lanes,’ a higgledy-piggledy mix of independent shops and cafés, to while away an afternoon.

We found Stone’s Throw to be a clean, well-appointed bungalow, well situated for the beach, shops and eating places. The garden is secure, preventing the escape of our 2 “Houdini-like” Cairn Terriers. The local beach is easily accessed, sandy and dog friendly. Dogs and humans had a great time.

Stones Throw is a well presented and decorated bungalow of a high standard but little things let it down. The bed linen, duvets and pillows needed washing more thoroughly, they were not fresh. The boiler is tempremental and often turns itself off. However the owner did offer help. Overall it was very comfortable and welcoming, with many attractive features. The cottage was clean and welcoming. Great attention had been paid to ensure that my dogs were well catered for - throws to protect the furniture, pooh bags (just in case), even a spare dog bed. The cottage is furnished to a good standard, it is a genuine 5 minutes walk from a lovely beach. I would recommend Stone's Throw unresevedly. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
