Stayed Dec 31, 1969If you want a five star cottage in the middle of nowhere then this is the one for you with a warm and friendly welcome from the start. Even in the middle of winter you couldn't be cold here with it's excellent underfloor heating and the beds are first class comfort. All the fixtures and fittings were more than adequate and the view from the lounge and decking is something you will remember, the only downside in all fairness is finding it on the day, you need to follow the instructions particularly the map you will be sent and it's a narrow roads all round so be prepared to back up if you need to pass anyone you meet. Do take starter food with you on the day as the nearest is back over the moor turn right and next village about eight miles away where there is a Co-op store and a chip shop. Apart from that would we go again, yes without a shadow of a doubt.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A gorgeous cottage in an idyllic setting. Stephen and Lynda are very warm, helpful and friendly hosts. The local walks are wonderful and invigorating. Sitting on the terrace having breakfast or in the evening watching the plethora of wildlife was just glorious . We loved our two weeks here. It is quiet and peaceful; the perfect place to recharge the batteries!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our third visit in 4 years to the Linhay staying Friday 15th to Friday 22nd March. What this property has is the location which is a short walk to the beach & north Devon coastal path. The cottage itself is very well equipped with the added features of a decking area (unfortunately the weather was not nice enough that particular week to be able to sit out there) & the wood burner. The cottage is nicely furnished & well equipped kitchen. We will be planning a fourth visit in the near future.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a great time in The Linay. The accommodation and crockery etc. was really clean and the layout worked very well for our two children - especially the outdoor decking and garden. We never tired of the views and it’s in such a good place to explore Hartland, north Cornwall and the Bidford area. The owners are close by and were very welcoming and approachable. If we come back to this area we would stay again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The very long drive from Scotland to North Devon was well worth it, for this cottage is of a very high standard. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a lovely time staying at the Linhay. The cottage is homely and tastefully decorated. Stephen and Lynda are wonderful hosts and were there if we needed them. The wildlife was so nice to see from the garden including the resident barn owls. The location is very peaceful and calm.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A beautiful little converted barn in a remote, private location with stunning views and amazing walks on the beautiful North Devon coast. No local amenities within easy walking distance but this was made clear on the details, and the cottage was very adequately equipped for self catering. Lynda and Stephen are welcoming and friendly, and full of information and advice about the area. The long weekend was just what we needed for a get-away-from-it-all to recharge our batteries. We will come back!
