1700s Historic Summer Kitchen Cottage #147&Pool, a National & Virginia Landmark

The cottage was just what we needed. The pool was refreshing. My grandchildren loved the cats (Charlie & Carson). The property was beautiful. I wish we could have stayed longer. We never could get the Wifi to work, but we all made out just fine without it!

Rented 2 cottages for a girls trip. As expected the cottages are smaller due to that era.Might be cramped with 4 people. Beautiful and tranquil property. Excellent experience at the spa,lounging by the pool and fires at night. Close to shopping, wineries and restaurants. Kim and Nico were excellent hosts. These 4 ladies certainly enjoyed our stay.

Historical plantation really sets the mood for the area you’re staying would definitely stay again

A beautiful property on a bucolic property. The cabin was perfect sized and very well appointed. We loved the working fireplace! Had we more time, the pool looked great and was heated. It was the perfect country setting for touring the Charlottesville area.

The cabin and property are lovely and comfortable and the owners were so kind and accommodating when we had a change in our plans due to illness. Wonderful people and stay!!!

If you are looking for something outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, relaxing, quiet, yet close to many cool local spots and not far from Charlottesville... this is your spot! The cottage was so cute. Clean, welcoming, and most of all relaxing. We didn't get to utilize the pool b/c of the weather, but did take advance of relaxing by the pool 1 night just to enjoy some fresh air. Book your stay now, you won't regret it!

Good. Step stairs to low loft. 55 need to be more careful than average moving around in an older 2 story cabin.

A wonderful, quiet retreat in a peaceful setting. Hosts couldn't be nicer and Gordonsville is charming. If you like history and character and the country, this is your place.

Communication with the hosts was easy. The property was nice, historic, and had a lot of space to roam. My wife and I live in a very rural part of Nevada and needed some time away from the city stuff we have to be on the east coast for. This little cabin and the surrounding land was perfect.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the small home. It was a great location for a little getaway to see local historical sites. Cute garden outside the cottage. The living room was comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed. We didn't love the ac window unit being right above the bed. The tub is a bit challenging to get in and out of. The stairs to the bedroom are also a bit challenging. So if you have any physical limitations i wouldn't suggest this spot

We loved the peace of this rental, the very friendly resident kitty and the wonderful pool! All four of us slept comfortably and the A/C kept us plenty cool during a heatwave. I was impressed with the available items in the kitchen and bathroom and the many DVD’s for watching. We used the small grill for some hot dogs but it was too hot for a bonfire. The setup for relaxing here is just perfect!
