The property is beautifully renovated. Warm without using the fire. When we arrived the owners had thought of pretty much everything and left a lovely welcome basket. The heating was pre set so that it was warm when we entered - a really nice feeling as we arrived in drizzle. If you bring a pet, they are as spoilt as you are. The beds are comfortable. The towels soft. The wifi was a little hit and miss - this didn't bother me but left my younger partner and my son a little lost. They did brighten when they realised if we went for food and drinks at the pub - just a short walk away - that there was wifi there. I forget to take into account the height of ceilings at properties as i am not a tall person myself. My son however is 6'6 and had a few issues with those beautiful beams. After a couple of bumps he got the hang of it however. It was peaceful and tranquil. The yard is enclosed and safe for your pets and would have been lovely to sit and have breakfast in had the weather blessed us.

Had a wonderful time in the well presented cottage, which is a great gateway to explore the lake district and yorkshire dales. Would definitely recommend.
