New Bern, North Carolina
Welcome to Low Tide Haven, a 1000 sf, 2 bedroom, 1st floor condo, just minutes from historic downtown New Bern, NC. The condo is located just over the Neuse River Bridge, on the bottom floor of an historic (circa 1914) building. The structure was recently restored and offers a unique experience, with enough space to accommodate a family of four, and a location that's just two blocks away from the river.
The kitchenette offers a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and pop-up style bread toaster.
What a quirky but totally cool place! Watched some gorgeous sunsets down the street! Not far from New Bern's beautiful waterfront. Loved watching the fish in the tank! Two thumbs up!
Very unique place absolutely loved it!! Perfect for families but not so much for couples -- open design, not much privacy. There is an area at the end of the street - its called a park, very small, two benches but perfect to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Locals out walking their dogs displayed the NC southern charm with a Good morning or good evening with welcoming chit chat and a lick form the dog. The pool table is very entertaining as well as the poker table. My husband owes me $5452.00 :) There is a oven/toaster/air fryer type of counter top device is very versatile and easy to use. The fish tank is incredible!! Being a NC native, I found the history at the Tryon Palace very interesting - I learned how to cook on a open flame with cast iron. Persimmons is definite for dinner with seating outside by the river or inside . There is a very unique unit and would/will stay again. This was the perfect place for our 4th anniversary. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is a commercial property retooled in unique ways to create something different. For example the bedrooms are essentially large cubicles. Loved the aquarium, the dedicated office space, the large entertainment table. Owner is efficient and supportive. For those that don't know, Bridgeton is across the river from New Bern proper, so nearby dining choices are limited -- although it's closer to the boating and camps in the Pamlico County direction.
Absolutely beautiful! Loved location! Very quiet at night. Owner super nice and helpful! Will definitely stay here again!
Good place to stay with kids!
It’s really nice place. Aquarium is very cool!
Wonderful location and very nice.
My wife and I stayed here and had a great time. The pool table was a nice bonus. Only minutes to new Bern and some good food. Would stay here again!
Stayed at the Low Tide Condo for a biking weekend in Oriental. It was a great space for 2 couples with plenty of room to move around. We enjoyed playing pool. The kitchen was not really equipped for cooking any meals or storing large amounts of cold food, but that did not bother us at all. Had upstairs neighbors and hardly heard them at all. Enjoyed our stay.
Property was clean, well maintained, and great use of space. Loved having the pool table! Even though there is a unit upstairs we never heard the other guests. Felt like our own private house for the weekend. Loved the layout and that the building is historic. We will definitely come back and stay again.
Enjoyed the stay. The aquarium was neat and we had fun studying the fish. Also enjoyed llayong some pool.
This was the 2nd time at this property. It's perfect for a long weekend - convenient location; including New Bern, Beaufort and the beach. Would stay here again.
This is the third time we have had family stay here and will use it again when family comes to town.
The building has a lot of character and nice touches. The aquarium is interesting, but the roar of the pump was a bit much. Would love to come back and check out High Tide.
We really liked the pool table and the decor. The only bad thing was the aquarium is a little loud when trying to hear the tv.
Property is exactly as listed and previously reviewed. A little noisy due to the pumps on the salt water fish tank, but very relaxing and spacious. Really short trip to Atlantic beach and Beaufort without the high prices of ocean front cities.
Very unique set up and very aesthetically pleasing. Everything was clean and there were adequate amenities provided.
The remodeling of an office space into a two unit two bedroom condo was very creative. The lower unit provided us we card games, a pool table, which I played several times and a quite neighborhood. The two block walk to the river was also a place of zin for me. Stewart was ver accommodating and very responsive to my text. We enjoy the stay and I will be looking to stay there again later in the year.
Everything we needed for a fun girls weekend just a quick drive over the bridge to all of the trendy New Bern shops and restaurants. Lovely and comfortable stay.
The area seemed a little sketchy, and you have to park out in the yard, but the property itself is very nice and clean. Don't book if you're looking for privacy from those who you are staying with. Very clean and modern, with an interesting interior design!
