Sea Haven on Bates Beach

The view and quietness with the sound of waves and wildlife was amazing. We spent two days investigating the waters and beach with our grandchildren. We saw things we have never seen before even though we have grown up by the ocean. I have unbelievable pictures but they don't come close to what we actually saw. The sunrise breath taking. The kitchen was great, I made stuffing and the fixings for Easter turkey dinner. Thank you again for the fantastic stay! See you again soon :)

The suite was very well equipped, the kitchen had everything we needed. The view is gorgeous and we loved the area. The bed was very comfortable and we had a very relaxed time there. The only thing that was a little disappointing were the stairs to get to the suite. Our old knees don’t like that. I didn’t see that mentioned in the ad. Overall very lovely.

Was very clean and tidy and cozy. The views were wonderful. The condo was well equipped with all you would need for your stay. The book with all the info and instructions was perfect and exactly what we recommend all rentals should have.

Everything was perfect I like the decor and how spacious it was but the view was the best part. Going on the balcony and watching the sunrise was unreal

This property was perfect for a quiet getaway. It’s very comfortable and has every amenity you could want while there. The lovely little deck looks straight out to the ocean, where you can watch the sunrise and moonrise over the water. The bed is very comfy and the linens were delightfully crisp and fresh. The kitchen has all the needed appliances and cooking utensils. Overall, a great stay!

Very nice quiet location

An incredible spot. Its a 6 out of 5 star. Comfy bed. Clean. The interior alone makes it a 5*. But the view of the strait and the sound of the waves were incredible - the stress melted off us! Nice waterfront to walk - saw seals and sea lions. Area has nice hiking trails. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing ocean view. We watched herons everyday and were lulled by waves and seagull sounds. Lovely decor, very clean, and thoughtfully equipped, even fluffy bathrobes! Also private and quiet. Kind of equi distance from Courtenay or Comox, so easy access to many attractions. Top notch winery very nearby! A gem of a stay, and we loved it.

I absolutely loved relaxing on the deck and watching all the wildlife. Sleeping was amazing too--very comfortable bed and the soothing sound of the waves made for a wonderful experience.

Always a great stay! Location is perfect, right out on the beach, tucked away in a quiet area surrounded by nature, but still only 15 minutes driving distance from Comox and Courtenay. The unit itself is comfortable and clean, well stocked with cookware and dishes, some snacks and Keurig cups are provided, for more just drive down to the Courtenay Country Market.Will definitely be back again, what a great area to spend a weekend relaxing away from home!

Absolutely lovely unit & location. Well stocked. Nothing better than falling asleep watching the sky full of stars out the bedroom window & listening to the waves crashing on shore.

Whales and Bald Eagles kept us entertained for our visit to this super clean home. We cooked and enjoyed the views.

Great location for a quiet stay for a few days to get away from the city noise. We woke up with the sound of waves and enjoyed the milky way viewing at night. The apartment is well staffed. Great place!

We really enjoyed our time at Sea Haven. The place was very clean and well appointed. The area was quiet and located a short drive to Courtenay, Comox, and many great hikes. I definitely recommend Sea Haven if you're looking for a peaceful stay on the water.

This was our first visit to the Comox Valley area. We had hoped for a scenic stay, with wildlife and oceanic sights and sounds nearby. We were not disappointed. The condo is part of a structure that appears to have once been a motel. It sits right on the water, allowing for long walks along the coastline at any time of day. The air was fresh, clean, and filled with barking seals, swooping bald eagles, and rolling ocean waves. The unit is close enough to Comox, Courtenay, and Campbell River to make day excursions easy and eventful. Hiking trails are within a few kilometres, and they are so beautiful. The condo itself is small but perfectly designed for cozy comfort. The queen bed is soft, and the sheets and duvet make for a good night's sleep. The place was spotless and the host had thought of everything, including binoculars to watch the local wildlife. The tranquil location provides exactly what we wanted in a six-day getaway.We highly recommend this rental and will gladly revisit and stay here again.

Wonderful property! Incredible views right from the balcony. Easy access to the airport or nearest towns. Lots of awesome hiking and nature in the area. Hosts were very nice and easy to get a hold of.Would happily stay here again!

What a beautiful little spot. We only came over from Powell River but was a treat to see the sunrise over home. And the cruise ships appear so close. Plus the whales. We’ll be back.

Our stay at Sea Haven was absolutely incredible. Took my mom to celebrate her 80th birthday and she was so happy to just sit and watch the water. We saw seals, sea lions, otters and even whales in the distance. Just a beautiful, relaxing spot that I would recommend to anyone looking for some peace and quiet. The unit was super clean, and equipped with everything you could need while away from home. This is our second time staying here. The views of the Salish Sea are amazing. Morning coffees on the balcony watching the sunrises could not get any better. It is quiet and secluded here but just a short drive to Courtney and Comox. The extra little amenities left by the host are greatly appreciated. We will come again.

Cozy/clean and quiet stay right on Bates beach. Close proximity to local farm stands and great fishing. Loved falling asleep each night to the sound of crashing waves. We will be back!

This was my second time staying here, I enjoyed it so much the first time I had to come back again! I just needed to get away for the weekend and sit and relax listening to the waves, it's a perfect getaway. The location is great, it's close enough to town and a country market that getting food is nice and quick. There's parks and hiking nearby, the beach is right there, couldn't ask for more. It's clean, comfortable, a great property. Will definitely try to come back again 👍

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Haven. We were literally steps away from the ocean and could hear the waves lapping up on the shore from our bedroom window and balcony. It is about a 15 min drive to Courtenay or Comox but we enjoyed eating at different restaurants every night and hiking nearby. The location provided peace & quiet which we appreciated. Amber is a wonderful host. Lots of little thoughtful touches.

We love coming to Amber's VRBO - such a peaceful and quiet spot; we watch the tide come in and out, we love the sound of the surf. And we're close to all we need - great trails, beaches, restaurants in Courtenay, ice cream in Cumberland. This was our second time and I suspect it will fast become an annual treat (if at all possible). Thank you so much Amber!!
