2026 Beach Update:

The City of Isle of Palms has approved a beach nourishment project expected to take place Summer–Fall 2026. While a final schedule has not yet been released, work is anticipated to move along the beach in sections, meaning any impact to a specific area is temporary.

We will share updates as more details become available and are happy to provide guidance based on your travel dates.

“Top of Summer House” offers an open and spacious floor plan designed with comfortable furnishings and tasteful décor. The large windows in the living area allow for the bright sunshine to fill the space while providing dramatic views. Home to a family that loves to cook, “Top of Summer House” features a newly renovated kitchen that is very well equipped-perfect for bringing families together to enjoy many meals while overlooking the sea.

This oceanfront penthouse features four wonderfully appointed bedrooms, each with a private bath. Two primary suites, both with an oceanfront view, feature a king bed, an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and direct access to the oceanfront balcony. “Top of Summer House” has two additional guest bedrooms. One features a queen bed and an en suite bathroom and the other has two twins and its own bathroom.
Convenience is at your doorstep from “Top of Summer House”, with easy access to the oceanfront Summer House community swimming pool and beach path.

Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this oceanfront penthouse promises an unforgettable coastal experience.
“Top of Summer House” is close to most of what Wild Dunes has to offer. The Harbor Golf Course, Links Golf Course, Sand and Sea Spa, Sweetgrass Conference Center, playground, shopping and five restaurants are all a short walk or bike ride from the Summer House community.

“Top of Summer House” is professionally managed by Michael Long and Lowcountry Vacation Properties. Michael has been managing vacation homes on the Isle of Palms since 1991 and is ready to help you find the perfect place for you and your family.

Parking:
Limited to two cars.

Beach Chairs and Umbrella:
The Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company will provide your family two classic wooden beach chairs and an umbrella when you stay seven nights (March– October). These are set up on the beach each morning for your family and removed each night by the crew at IOP Beach Chair Company.

Ideally located, this beach house on the Isle of Palms is close toto Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant and Historic Charleston. Bike or drive to Sullivan’s Island (7 miles), which features Fort Moultrie and wonderful dining options along Middle Street. Drive to Mount Pleasant (8 miles) where your family will want to visit Boone Hall Plantation with its avenue of oaks, the USS Yorktown, Town Center shopping and the restaurants lining the shrimp docks on Shem Creek. Finally, Historic Charleston (17 miles) is the number one tourism destination in the United States and offers some of the world’s finest restaurants, galleries, historic homes and gardens.

Things to note:

Wild Dunes does not have a central resort pool for all visitors. Most neighborhoods and villa communities have their own private pool for guests staying in that specific area. Please note that the pools at the Hyatt Boardwalk Inn, Sweetgrass Inn, and the Sweetgrass Fitness Center are reserved exclusively for Hyatt hotel guests and are not available to vacation rental guests.

The Wild Dunes Community has a strict no pet policy for non-residents. Pets are not allowed within the gates of the community.
No smoking or vaping.
Check in time is 4:00 PM and check out is 10:00 AM. To properly clean, sanitize and maintain the home, we are unable to accommodate early check-ins or check-outs if another guest is arriving or departing that day.

    Everything about this Stay was amazing. The location, the amenities and the Host! The parking was easy and always available. The proximity and access to the beach was exactly what we wanted. The rooms were perfect and comfortable, with 2 of the rooms having beautiful ocean views and decks. The only thing I would suggest is beach towels. We flew there and packing a bulky beach towel was not an option so we had to go buy some beach towels for our stay. I think if you are going to have a beach front property you should supply them. But that wouldn't stop us from staying there again, the accommodations, host and location were that good.
