Things to know prior to booking your stay:

The Sea Cabin buildings do not have an elevator. Stairs are used to access all units, including some stairs to the 1st floor.
Full Disclosure: There is a small bunk bed built into the hallway – they are loved by children and even perfect for some small adults. They're also a great place to use for extra storage if not being used for sleeping! They measure 24”x72.5” compared to standard twin size of 38”x75”.
All units are 490 sq. ft. – they most comfortably accommodate 2 adult guests with smaller children. But while they are smaller, they are still 2x the size of most hotel rooms and include a fully functional kitchen!
1st floor condos offer peeks of the ocean from the private balcony! 2nd and 3rd floor offer the best direct views of the Atlantic Ocean!
Please carefully review all photos including the aerial photo that shows the layout of the condo complex to get an idea of where you'll be staying.
Washers and Dryers are located next to the pool on the oceanfront; they are coin operated or you can download an app to pay!
Parking notes: Each unit is given 1 parking pass during peak season (June 1 – August 1). One extra pass may be requested during the off season.
The community pool is not heated and is usually open year round depending on the weather.
No smoking. A $500 dollar fine will be issued in order to professionally get rid of the odor.
No pets on site per condo regime and condo owner. No exception unless ADA documentation is provided prior to your arrival. A $500 dollar fine will be issued if pet(s) are found on site without proper documentation.
This property is managed by Carroll Realty, located on the island just 1.5 miles from the condo should you need anything during your stay!

Walk into this adorable condo and you'll be greeted by a hallway area, which features a small bunk bed built into the wall, giving you the added benefit of additional sleeping space—and kids will love cozying up in the little nook! There is a small entryway table and shade on the front window. From here, you journey onward into the main kitchen and living area, a beautifully updated space with lots of light.

The kitchen is fully equipped, featuring stainless steel appliances, as well as a regular coffee maker for all the coffee lovers out there. A convenient breakfast bar offers up two counter seats, while the living room is furnished with a sofa, chair, and flat-screen TV. Past the sliding doors out to the patio, you'll find a spacious outdoor setup, with a bistro set and additional seating. With partial views of the water, it's a fantastic place to take your breakfast in the morning, or to watch the sun set with your beverage of choice.

Inside, the master bedroom offers up a queen bed, along with a cable equipped flat-screen TV. For additional sleeping space, the sofa in the living area folds out to a full-sized bed! Additional perks of this property include free Wi-Fi and an easily accessible first floor, with only a few steps up.

When you stay at this lovely property, you'll enjoy access to the Sea Cabin Condominiums community amenities, such as the pool, laundry facilities, and private fishing pier! Another added bonus is the beach here is one of the only lifeguarded areas on the island, giving you more peace of mind for oceanside activities. Only a short walk away you'll find local restaurants, shopping, beach boutiques, the Isle of Palms County Park, local bars and nightlife, and so much more!

Beach gear is available for rental nearby, as this condo is very centrally located. When you stay at this amazing condo, you're never more than a walk away from the beach and the action in town!

The hallway consists of a bunk bed built-in to the wall - perfect for a small child!

ALL BED LINENS, KITCHEN TOWELS, AND BATH TOWEL SETS ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE!! You will only need to bring or plan to rent beach towels, chairs, bikes, umbrellas, etc. Also included is a starter set of toiletries such as toilet paper, bath & dish soaps, paper towels, etc. but please do keep in mind you will most likely need to purchase these items after your initial arrival.

A few important notes to be aware: NO HOUSE PARTIES. NO SMOKING. NO PETS. No exceptions! There is a very strict noise ordinance policy on the island that goes into effect at 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on weekend nights. The 1 car limit is also strictly enforced. This house is a family rental and is located near year-round residents. This is not a rental home for bachelor/bachelorette events, wedding groups, youth groups, fraternities/sororities, receptions, or any other types of larger gatherings. We do NOT rent to students or anyone under the age of 21 - no exceptions - even if a parent or legally responsible adult makes the reservation. If such a group occupies or attempts to occupy the property, they will be required to immediately vacate and there will be NO refunds given. Further, this home is strictly a non-pet friendly home. Guest will be fined $500 if a pet is found to be on the property at any time.

    Overall, it was a pretty good experience staying here. It’s a little smaller than the pictures made it look but that wasn’t really an issue. It could have been a little cleaner in my opinion. I went to clean up a spill very shortly after we got there, and the swiffer mop head was almost super dirty after just cleaning the hallway area. Which makes it clear to me that the floors are not mopped after each guest and I think that should be part of the cleaning routine between each guest. It’s a small place so a good mopping wouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. Most everything else looked clean but the dirty floor makes me question how well things really were cleaned. The dishwasher was also still full when we got there so we had to run it again since we didn’t know if the dishes were clean or not. It’s in a great location in relation to the beach and restaurants though and we didn’t have to drive too much which was nice. Access to the pier was great too. Also you only get one parking pass which is something I didn’t know until booking the place since it’s in the small print.

    The unit was very updated, felt very clean, it was in a great location, had a private pier and private entrance to the beach. Area was extremely quiet. Private balcony was a great place to enjoy breakfast. It had a little table with chairs. Even though the unit was on the first floor, you could still see the ocean. Overall would stay here again. Did have concerns with a weak spot in the hallway floor. It did not cause us any issues, we just avoided stepping in that area when possible. Sent an email to the property manager and they were very quick to respond and mentioned they would schedule repairs with their maintenance crew.

    I booked 2 side-by-side 1-bedroom units for our trip the week of July 4th. We were told that if the room was available before the 4pm check-in time we would receive an email. This was not true- there was no housekeeping onsite for the 90 min we were there early and we were unable to access the unit until exactly 4pm. This is fine but the communication we received prior to check-in was inaccurate. Once we arrived we went to the pool. The water was so murky that you couldn't see your hand under the water. There were also hairs everywhere (gross) which means the filter isn't working properly. A full-time resident of the property suggested I not allow my kids to go under the water until it was fixed. We stayed away from the pool for the next 3 days. I communicated this to Carroll Realty via VRBO and email on Sunday, 6/29. I received no response until Wednesday, 7/2. Just know if there is an issue.. expect a 3-day response time. Finally, the unit needs some work. There is a big soft spot/slump in the floor that my elderly dad kept tripping on. The toaster was broken/dangerous (they dropped off a new one to us on Thursday (12 hours before we checked out). There was a terrible smell coming from under the bathroom sink. I could go on and on. PROS: nice location, pier is great, beach is great, bed was comfortable.

    We spent 5 of 7 days lying on the beach, reading, relaxing. It was so convenient to go to the beach or walk to restaurants locally. This was exactly what we needed as a chaotic summer.

    This was a great spot (the Sea Cabins) to enjoy all that IOP has to offer. Because this condo is in the A building, it is even closer to the grocery store (Harris Teeter), the closest to the beach, pier, and pool. It is also on the first level, up only a few stairs, which makes getting luggage in and out way easier than climbing all the stairs. The view is mostly of the parking lot, but it is a clear view to the gates that lead to the beach and pier. Also, you can still see some ocean too, which is nice. When it rains, be sure to remove your items off the balcony, as it will rain on the balcony with the wind, as well as the front of the building, the exterior hallways had puddles after rain. The place was nice for what we needed it for. Fortunately we have family on IOP and I have been coming to IOP every year for 40 years, so we really were not inside the condo much other than to sleep. The furniture could use some updates. The couch is visibly stained and the pull-out, while never meant for comfort- definitely lived up to its discomfort. Bring your own pillows. The pillows in the condo are super flat, as if it is only a folded flat sheet. The built-in bunk is not ideal for a small child or adult. We used it to hold out luggage, as there was no chance of one of us adults, or out 11 year old or 14 year old sleeping on it without falling off, even with a rail, there would not have then been enough room to move. The decor was a hodge podge of items.
