Communication was good prior to booking. I was travelling with my 12 year old son and 3 year old daughter. We arrived late as travelling from LA. when we arrived the unit was very warm and there was an awful musty smell. When we looked around we realised the pictures must have been taken some time ago. Carpets in bedroom were stained and there was dirt in the corners. The bedroom blind was broken and brackets left on wall, they were also dirty. The bedroom lampshade had dust all over it. The sliderobe door was jammed and there was a crack in the other. The bed felt damp. The door to bathroom had a hole in it and something spilt on door. The bathroom mirror was very old and silver backing had come off around edges. The toilet seat was marked and broken underneath. The shower head was held together with black tape. The shower screen was caked in dirt and corroded. The bathtub was old and stained. There was dirt and cobwebs in corner of bathroom. The kitchen worktop had broken tiles, the blinds were covered in dirt and grease, the dishwasher smelt awful and was dirty inside and also had old powder caked around dispenser. The cooker was old and corroded on side. The fridge was also dirty and stained/marked. The saucepans and baking sheets were dirty and lids broken. There is no way you would use them to cook. The living room was spacious but furniture is really old and stained. The dining table is old and stained with white marks. There is no air conditioning but there are fans. These too are old, rusted and covered in dust. The tv had hardly any channels. I couldn't get the Internet to work when I arrived to contact Steven so had to drive to a friends house. My son was crying and said he would rather sleep in the car than at the apartment so we stayed at my friends small one bedroomed duplex where I had to stay as Steven is refused a refund. In fact he never even refunded the damage deposit or the cleaning fee. I paid in advance for a month so it is a substantial amount of money. Needless to say it was very stressful and ruined our holiday. I have took photographs and these have been placed on review sites. I have travelled to California for many years and have never had a probem with any accomodation. I listed everything that was wrong and the only thing he fixed was the toilet seat. Please feel free to contact me if you wish, I do not want anyone else to experience what i have. if you don't mind the above it is in a good location in Dana Point

Steven's Dana Point condo worked out very well for my wife and I. The central location allows access to everything Southern California has to offer. We are avid cyclist and we really enjoy riding the wonderful bike trails of Dana Point and San Clemente plus the streets in the area a extremely bike friendly. Steven's condo is spacious, warm and comfortable. The second floor location offers a great view which includes the ocean and this remarkable community. This location is perfect for almost everyone with the possible exception of a second floor requiring stairs and neighbors below with sensitive ears which means common sense courtesy while moving around the condo. The pictures are accurate but really don't show the size well. The open kitchen, living room, dinning room area is very open and specious and we loved the way Steven had his walls painted. The patio has a nice view of the pool as well. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed for two people; nothing fancy but adequate for almost anyone. The restroom area has very good lighting and everything works well. Last of all, Steven has priced his property at a very nice price for this location. My husband and I enjoyed our one month stay because we love Dana Point. Everything was comfortable, but there was a dirth of cooking and serving utensils. The diswasher was useless, but Steve said it was due to be replaced. We would stay here again except my husband had a hard time climbing the steep steps. We cannot say enough good about Steve. He was so kind and helpful, and we thank him sincerely!!

This is an excellent condo for anyone wanting a nice clean place to stay, in a quiet area. Everything was as Steven had stated, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. Awesome beaches close by, as are shops etc. Weather was amazing all week, and we were very sorry to have to leave. We would recommend it to all.

I enjoyed our stay in Dana Point. Very nice beaches, we went to Disneyland while we stayed here, it's about a 30 min drive depending on the time of day. Ocean view from the property, although not a lot of windows to look out. Very clean and well kept second floor unit. Steven was very helpful and responsive. We will be back to stay here.

This place was just what I needed to relax in the sun during Christmas break. The location is excellent - close to the beach, grocery stores, and an easy drive to major shopping malls and the art scene (South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills Mall, etc.) I was impressed with the attentiveness and patience Steve, who took my phone call on New Year's Eve, treated us. We will definitely go back soon. P.s.: if you don't travel a lot, you might want to read the description of the place beforehand so you have everything that you need with you,such as towels. There were no surprises in our experience, just great fun.

We felt that the listing was very accurate regaring the location. Photo were on target as to the appearance, Condo was very clean and well maintained. The owner was more than helpful in answering al our question. I might add that I called him several times for information. I would subjest that he include a list of instruction as to the uses of the television and other amenities. That would be helpful to the guest I would recommend and already have to anyone that is looking for a resonable priced nice place to rent. Proud Mary's and the brig are excellent restaurants both at the harbor

Our stay in Dana Point was fantastic. The condo is within walking distance of town and the harbor. The area and weather was just beautiful.

We are international travellers and we've been to all kinds of places, from guesthouses to 6 star hotels. As clearly advertised, this is a rental house not a hotel, so, you should be prepared to buy your own stuff and do some cleaning, but we found the place sparkling clean when we arrived, there were toilet paper rolls and fresh towels and the kitchen had all the appliances necessary for everyday cooking (we cook everything from scratch!). The location is great, close enough to the beach and the stores, but quiet and peaceful. The wi-fi high speed internet made it easy to reach the owner whenever we had a question, and he was always ready to take phone calls too. I would highly recommend this place to small families, seniors, or anyone else who can respect the peaceful neighborhood, this isn't a place for party people.

My husband and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary at this vacation rental, and we had a wonderful time. The property is very nice and has an amazing ocean view. There are so many wonderful attractions in the area and the property is conveniently located, so that you can get anywhere in a timely manner. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone who is looking to have great time in a relaxing beach setting.
