Harbor Island, South Carolina is a private barrier sea island in the Lowcountry area near Beaufort. There are over two miles of beautiful, peaceful beach to explore on long walks or runs. Nature is all around with dunes covered with sea oats and other coastal grasses, turtles, crabs, dolphins feeding close to shore and birds, birds, birds. The private gated community has 24-hour security allowing you to retreat, relax and recharge without worries.

Lowcountry Villa is a 2-bedroom 2.5-bath vacation rental with amazing ocean views. This 2-level villa is located on the 2nd floor of the Oceanfront D-building in the Cedar Reef Villas complex and includes high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access.

The two bedrooms are on the top floor and accommodate 5. All beds are Tempur-Pedic with a King bed in the oceanfront bedroom and two beds (Queen and Twin) in the sunset bedroom. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV, ceiling fan and en-suite bathroom with shower and tub.

A full kitchen, dining and living areas are on the first floor with a flat screen TV, DVD player, half bath and washer and dryer.

Rental includes access to the Harbor Island Beach and Racquet Club amenities:

• Seasonal store for bike rentals, snacks, drinks, and souvenirs

There are also two pools in the condo complex and crabbing and fishing docks available for guest use.

A Hunting Island State Park park pass is provided to use during your stay. The park is a 5-minute drive from Harbor Island, and the pass allows access to parking, beach, hiking trails and the nature center.

Nearby you can also find golf courses, public boat ramps, and kayak/SUP rentals.

The Harbor Island pool is open from April 1 - November 1.

Reservations are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.

Harbor Island Owners Association require a gate pass to gain access to the private island. GATE PASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Vehicle gate pass fees are per vehicle, set by the Island and are subject to change. The current rates are; for a day pass $25.00; 2 nights $35.00; 3 nights $45.00; 4 nights $55.00; 5 nights $65.00; 6 nights $75.00; 7 nights $85.00; 8-30 nights $140.00; 31-364 nights $215.00.

    This property has beautiful views. It has a comfy and homey feel to it. There are a lot of steps, so I felt I was getting a daily workout :) Some of the soft line items (rugs, bed spread, etc) could be replaced, but overall it was a great property.

    My sister and I stayed at this location!! It was a wonderful spot! Great views from the balcony. Had our coffee there in the morning and enjoyed nature. We would definitely come back here again!

    Beautiful spot. We loved our stay here. The place was immaculately clean, and the bedrooms were roomy and very cozy, beds were very comfortable. Loved sitting on the balcony listening to the frogs in the evenings. We were unable to find the provided Hunting Island park pass that was mentioned in the property listing, so paid our own entrance fee. This was the only (very small) glitch to an otherwise perfect stay. Thank you very much!

    This condo is nicely situated overlooking marshes out to the sea. It is an easy walk down the boardwalk to the water and at low tide one can walk out quite far. The condo is well equipped with lots of storage. Two cautionary notes: 1. The condo is on the 2nd floor of the building and the stairs are pretty steep - a bit of a challenge when carrying luggage, etc. 2. We were there in March and the midgies were really bad. We did not know that they could get through the window screens and our bedroom was COVERED floor to ceiling with them! Needless to say, many bites as well. So be sure that the windows are tightly closed. Also, you won’t be able to use the patio when it is midgie season. Otherwise, great place, convenient to many things to do, and a really pretty view especially from the main bedroom. Tip: check out the great selection of DVDs! Bring some of your own to add to the mix if you were planning on getting rid of them. Also, drive toward Port Royal for groceries.

    We've stayed in this spot three time and are never disappointed. This is a beautiful location with views of the water and easy access to the beach. The unit this time was clean and well-stocked. Our only complaint is the extra fee charged for parking a second vehicle.
