    We've been visiting Port A for decades, and this is the first time we've stayed at Pelican. This was - without any doubt - our favorite place to stay ever. Why? 1. The view. Pelican 39 has an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico as well as the pool area. We sat out on the huge balcony (with LOTS of comfy chairs) for hours. 2. The location. Pelican is literally a 2-minute drive or a 10-minute walk from the middle of town...or, on a side road, over to the retail are with Coffee Waves. And it's a 5-minute walk on a private path to the beach, entering near lifeguard station 3. We never needed a golf cart, saving $$$. 3. The amenities. The private walkway to the beach is awesome - so close to the action, yet - as soon as leaving the beach - always feeling like we were in a private resort. Even on the weekend. The pool area was perfect and gorgeous. The bbq grills were conveniently placed and in great shape. Parking was ample. The condo itself was fresh and clean, with ample space, and as noted earlier, the balcony was HUGE, with 8+ comfy chairs, and the best part of this was that the sun was NEVER shining directly on this balcony, given its' facing to the Southwest. 4. The staff. We talked to a couple of the staff members, and they were always friendly and eager to help - in a non-fake way :-). We'll be back.
