This was a great place to stay in Portland! Right beside a main road but absolutely no road noise. You are on a downstairs unit but we didnt have any issues with sleeping and my wife is a light sleeper. Not even a issue but while making breakfast we tripped a breaking because we had the stove, microwave and coffee maker going at one time. They responded immediately and had it fixed within time to finish making breakfast without delay.

Although this property is listed as pet friendly, I did not find out until 5 days before my trip that pets cannot be left unattended on the property. Additionally, there is an extra cost of $10-0 per pet. The host did not communicate with me in a timely way when I sent a message that I could not take my pet with me on the running event my family and I were signed up for. I had to go through VRBO customer service to get a response. Upon my family's arrival, the door code did not work. We all stood on the small deck trying to get help with entry. It took several minutes and multiple messages to the host before getting a working code. The property is along a hillside on one side and an extremely busy street on the other. My family and I wanted to use public transportation to get into Portland. As the street is too unsafe to walk along or cross, we took the bus (bus stop very near the property) to go toward Beaverton to a transfer station and then head back in the correct direction to get to our scheduled activities in Portland. As per the listing, I enquired about an early check-in at 2:00 PM. I was offered either a free early check in at 3:00 or pay $60 for a check in at 2:00. This host knows how to make money. The day before check-out, I received automated messages to ask about options to check out late. no, thank you. Although the property is pet friendly, there is nothing about it that is good for pets. There is not a grassy area or running area at all for a dog.

It's a perfect place to visit Portland. Just outside of Portland downtown, but quiet and peaceful. It's strategically a perfect place to explore the surrounding area. The property is very nice, clean and comfortable, especially when you're out all day exploring the town. Definitely for two people or a small family. We made dinner most nights and everything was available to make an enjoyable meal. I will warn you that if you're not comfortable driving hilly, windy roads at night it can be a little challenging or a lot of fun.

Great stay, comfortable and worked for our needs. Very close to Stevens Pavillion where we were holding a wedding. Cute little place for bride and party to get ready. Easy to ferry to park. Parking was an issue for a larger van. Very small parking area--looks bigger in pics.

I really don't like to give bad reviews. But upon arrival we found NO toilet paper AT ALL. Mgmt co gave us a late checkout as compensation. Late as in 1:30. At 1:15 we came back to find cleaners already in our rental - with our things still unpacked; incl medication & jewelry. We didn't even have a chance to use the bathroom - it had already been cleaned. The cleaners literally left when we did. This was a very disappointing experience. I asked for the cleaning fee to be waived as compensation, but was denied.

Appreciate the organization, set up, beautiful (and convenient) location and simplicity of this sweet unit. Perfect for our family of three that was on the move during our time in Portland. We could hear some (minor) noise from upstairs but it was respectful, and not an inconvenience. Everything is labeled so it was easy to know which hook was for towels or coats. Appreciate the thoughtfulness.

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed this mother-in-law unit very much. I do believe the owners live directly above. We could hear them moving around occasionally. Otherwise a very quiet location. Other than the home being right along a very busy street with fast moving traffic, a very nice location. It is difficult sometimes to get in and out of the driveway because of the orientation and speed of the traffic going by. Everything was very clear and up to date. Beds were comfortable. We did not attempt to cook, but I would say that it would be difficult to cook a full meal since there is not an actual range oven and the cook top only has two burners. The kitchen area/counter space is really small. But, really who wants to cook when there are wonderful breakfast restaurants, food trucks, dinner restaurants only minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute little place, well maintained, and pretty affordable for the area. Check-in was a breeze. Definitely a good location although it can be a little bit hard to get onto the road as you are near a bit of a blind corner and a lot of traffic comes through. Not too much road noise despite being just off a busy road. HOWEVER the listing claims that you may see the owners on the property but they are actually residing directly above you. I was hoping for a whole house - as VRBO ads state is their whole premise - but that was not the case with this location. I also travel with a toddler and didn't want to disturb anyone with the general racket that comes with a small child. The owners weren't particularly loud (no yelling, slamming doors, etc) and we didn't hear their dog bark at all but they walked around pretty early/late which may disturb light sleepers. Overall not a bad choice as long as you don't mind upstairs neighbors!
