This was a great stay for our family of 5. The VRBO listing was a bit confusing regarding the location, but it is a comfortable place in Nelson Spring Beach Resort, which is right on the beach. The deck is screened and a great place to sit with a view over the pool to the sea. The beach is very nice with calm and clear water, and the Barefoot Bar was small but quite good. More umbrella/beach chair availability would be welcome, perhaps, but it was only an issue one day, and there was another day (Wednesday, when the bar is closed) that we were actually alone on the beach. Great sunsets. Terrific Indian restaurant across the street - an easy walk. Shakila helped us quite a bit with arranging taxis and water taxis, and having a rental car waiting for us when we arrived. Driving is on the left, and not always for the faint of heart, but not too bad. We had a pretty relaxed time, but if you want to arrange scuba trips, sailboat tours, etc, I would set it up in advance if possible. The options are perhaps a bit limited on Nevis. Our unit had some maintenance issues, like outdoor lights that weren't working, a running toilet, and beeping fire alarms that needed new batteries, but nothing major or intrusive. One of the showers has a temperature knob that is reverse, so it took a couple days to recognize that. The bedroom furniture was all very nice, with plenty of drawer space and such, but a chair in the bedrooms would be a good addition.
I really cannot say enough nice things about this property (and no, I'm not related or friends with anyone associated with it!). The 2-story condo is very spacious; all of the rooms are large and modern, and there is an outdoor deck on the bottom floor and I believe upstairs as well (didn't check). I was with 3 other adults and there was more than enough room; it would still be spacious for 6 people, and doable for eight. It was immaculately clean and had all the supplies needed for cooking and eating. The managers even stocked it with bread, butter, eggs, milk, soda, and beer, so you don't need to go shopping at all if you don't want to. There is an excellent Indian restaurant across the street from the small complex it's located in (Nelson's Spring) and a restaurant/bar on the beach which is surprisingly good even though it doesn't look like much. The pool and beach are right there, both are immaculately maintained and the beach was nearly empty in early December. It looks inland on some maps but it's not. A couple of minor glitches (light burned out, etc.) were handled immediately and with a smile. Check-in was easy - Shakila met us there and showed us everything. The only very minor things to know is to bring your own shampoo/conditioner/body wash and if you have more than 4 people, you may want to ask for extra towels, but this doesn't detract at all from the many positives. I'm sure that other properties managed by Chiverton Realty (Amanda and Shakila) are just as nice.
The set up of this condo could not be better. Enjoy sunset from your balcony, floating in the infinity pool or sitting on the beach. Condo had everything we needed, beds extremely comfortable and the whole place was immaculately clean. Not only was there some necessities in the fridge when we got there but staff so helpful getting us taxis to get to grocery store. Beach is wonderful for stretching out on chairs and for swimming. Also you can walk several km along the beach in each direction. Can't wait to come back to Nevis.
Location in perfect, just steps from the beach and overlooking the pool. Villa had everything we needed aside from maybe some Beach gear (Beach chairs, cooler, Beach wagon, etc.), but it's so close you can easily run back to get anything you need. Nice, big bedrooms, comfortable beds and bedding, furniture was all in good shape. Loved Nevis, and this villa helped make the overall experience a positive one.
We enjoyed our stay at Nelson's Springs. The 3 bedroom unit was very nice and well equipped. Amelia was very responsive. Great location, very nice layout and high recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at the condo in Nelson Spring in Cotton Ground. The property manager, Amelia, was super helpful with setting up all of our connections to and from the airport in St. Kitts and our rental car. She met us at the water taxi in Nevis and personally checked us into the condo. Although I sometimes prefer solo check in w a lock box, Amelia was delightful! She was super organized and had put some staples in the fridge for us. We loved the screened in porch w the fan, spacious condo where we each had our own en suite bathroom, having laundry downstairs, and plenty of beach towels and wine glasses. We also loved being right on the beach. We checked out Pinney's Beach (~5-10 min drive), but liked the low key beach scene at the Yachtsman or Chrishi beachclubs better. The condo was conveniently situated, w a great Indian restaurant (Indian Summer), a liquor store, and a water place across the street from the condo complex entrance. The beach was great for walking on every day to get our steps in. We recommend the Ram grocery store over the IGA, plus Drift Restaurant, Lime Beach Club for lunch, Sunshine Bar for drinks, and check out Amelia's store for thoughtfully sourced local gifts and crafts.
The condo complex is well placed on the beach with clean grounds and flora. Our condo was clean and convenient, comfortably furnished and just generally nice. The Manager went out of her way to ensure our comfort. Food too was easy with a fine Indian restaurant across the road an a nice beach bar with interesting menu choices! Nice, I will try it twice!
Comfortable, awesome view of the beach and the pool.. location was good, shelter for the hire car we got was good kept the car cool.
We really enjoyed staying here, so relaxing and conviently located steps from the pool and a calm beach. The property manager arranged for all our transfers from the airport, to the pier, to the ferry, and to the home. She was also helpful in taxis and had car rentals if needed. In the mornings I drank coffee on the upper master balcony and watched boats and fishermen go out. We sat out on the screened & covered porch a lot that overlooked the pool and the ocean. The fresh breezes were really nice. The location is great--across the street is a duty-free liquor store, Indian Summer Curry restaurant, Olive Tree gifts plus the Barefoot Bar on-site where we dined on the sand. Nearby is an ATV and horse riding rental. We walked along the beach to the right where there was a nature area with a ton of nesting egrets. A bit farther down was Chrishis Bar. To the left, we walked to Yachtsman Grill. The unit had everything we needed-especially a fully stocked kitchen with a blender! It also came with a laundry downstairs. It was clean and decorated nicely with some pics around the island. From the kitchen and back bedrooms, you can see St. Kitts. You can also see Nevis Peak. It had two TVs and wifi, but not needed too much because we were too busy with the rum, beach, and pool! repeat. Oh, we were even greeted with a free starter kit of eggs, juice, butter, etc. Very nice touch. We will definitely stay at 6a again.
The property is beautiful. It has all the amenities and is convenient to the beach. Very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
