Absolutely perfect location in the Pearl. We could grab the streetcar to Good Sam. We could walk to so many restaurants that we still didn't do them all even after a month. Great entertainment just watching all the people on the street walking their dogs. We loved it. Ok we loved it so much that we got an apartment 2 blocks away for our expected future trips. We will recommend that our friends stay here.
I spent the month of August in Portland to escape the Tucson heat. While natives thought the cool, overcast days were a disappointment, I loved every day. Condo in the Pearl District was perfectly located (averaged walking 4.5 miles a day. Condo was immaculate with a well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. May return next year if plans for Europe fall through. John Marus
An amazing property that’s well kept and up to date, Owner is amazingly responsive to in- house worries, even about little things. Truly in the “heart of the Pearl,” you don’t need a car. Tram stop is about a spit away (and quiet) and it’s a fast and cheap way to get all over town by connecting to buses and larger trains (airport, Beaverton, etc.) But if you must, or have visitors, this place provides a locked covered garage! I have this on my short list of places to stay for a month. Did I mention 20 plus restaurants within two blocks, a Safeway right Round the corner and shoot... now this cool place will never be open! Have fun!
Great apartment, great location, great amenities & Owner responded promptly to any questions
We almost hesitate to write this review because when we return to Portland we'd love for it to be available. For those who have never been to this city, the Pearl District is the place to stay. Fine restaurants, coffee shops with a European feel - bistro sets outside where you can feel in the mix. This apartment is in the middle of it all yet with little noise and when the windows are closed hardly a trace can be heard. Chairs that swivel where you can be entertained for hours watching passerbys. If you're a cook and appreciate a quality set up kitchen you will feel right at home. The Dunn's have thought of it all. I had the pleasure of staying here for five months, Jan - May. Throughout the changing seasons I found myself waking up each morning so thankfully I was in such s charming home away from home. Location & layout of this well stocked & well appointed unit were ideal. My favorite feature was the gas fireplace in the living area which has a peaceful & airy (and surprisingly quiet) view over the street. The unit faces the modern glass entrance to the building across the street which visually has the effect of making the unit seem even larger. Highly, highly recommended (ps: in building parking easy & convenient as well!)
My husband and I stayed here while emergency work was being done in our own Portland condo. The owners were very accommodating and understanding of our needs and the unique situation. The condo is wonderfully situated in the Pearl with easy access to groceries, restaurants, parks, and more. We walked everywhere, although we did also use the parking spot (as other reviews have noted it is small and a little tough to get into. But fine for a small car with a careful driver). We chose this place for the location, comfort, and kitchen, and it did not disappoint. There is some street noise (as would be true for an urban condo on street level) but it was never an issue. Dark curtains provided privacy and made sleeping in truly delicious. We'd recommend this place to any individuals or couples looking for a nice central location and a place to stay that feels a lot more like home than a hotel.
This was the perfect location right on two streetcar lines with great amenities a block away but still quiet!!! The place was loaded with upscale linens and even a sharp knife!!! We will definitely stay here again!!!
Great place, set up so well. Everything was there just like I needed. Easy access to the streetcar the gateway to Portland.
My husband and I stayed at this property more than once. We cannot say enough great things about it. It was just the perfect accommodations for us. Everything was included; all we had to do was show up. All of our favorite spots in Portland were within walking distance. The area was just fantastic. Some people who lived in other building across from us told us they just love the area. It was minutes away from the light rail and it would drop us off right in front of the condo when we returned. Great restaurants with Food Happy Hour beginning around 3 p.m. daily. Great breakfast spots nearby. We took full advantage of the Farmers' Market on Saturdays at the University Mall area, and took in two wonderful plays that month. Too many great things to say about, and I don't have enough space to write. We plan to return.
