Driftwood Second Floor Condo at Hoopers Bay With Stunning Views

Driftwood condos is the perfect place to stay, in a great location, and had the perfect beach set up. Lidia and Erik were great hosts! We had an issue with VRBO with the booking and Lidia and Erik called me and communicated that they had the booking and not to worry, it was so nice for them to do that. They also were very responsive to emails and offered to get our groceries and beer for arrival day! The condo was very clean, a very well equipped kitchen for all your needs and they also had a water cooler and supplied the water! The beach set up is second to none, they have a private area just for guests that had lounge chairs, hammocks, regular chairs and tables and shade! They had coolers, beach toys and snorkel equipment. We would leave for the day to go see other beaches and would always want to come back to our “private paradise” for the rest of the day. Hoopers Bay was, to us, the best beach! The location was perfect, sort of in the middle to drive to each end of the island and just a short walk to time meats and short drive to Smittys. All in all it was a fantastic vacation and Driftwood is the perfect place to stay. We can’t wait to go back and stay at Driftwood!

Condo was as described on VRBO with an absolutely beautiful view of Hoopers Bay. Condo had all the essentials we needed. Property owners, Eric and Lidia are amazing. We will definitely be back at Driftwood. Erica and Lidia thanks so much for your hospitality.

We picked the perfect place for our first family trip to Exuma. The location, accommodations, and hosts could not have been more perfect for us! Lydia and Eric met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property, made sure we had everything we needed, and were available to answer questions/offer recommendations throughout the week. The upstairs railing made us a little nervous with our two year old, and Eric quickly eased our minds by screwing in lattice fencing along the entire porch. He also took time out of his day to drive my husband to pick up our rental car. Additional perks to this property were the paddle boards, kayaks, beach toys, pack and play, life jackets, washer and dryer, coolers, etc. that were provided. Lydia and Eric were more than accommodating when our flight was delayed for several hours on the day we were scheduled to leave. We look forward to the day we get to return to Exuma and will definitely book this property again!

Lidia and Eric were great hosts. Any help we needed they were there for us (they even did a grocery run for us before we arrived) but they gave us our space. The condo was great with everything we needed. And the setting was even better. Secluded beach with hardly anyone around and the view was incredible. We got to swim with turtles right outside our door. We are ready to go back. I highly recommend this rental!

We loved our stay at Driftwood Condos. Lida and Eric are fabulous hostess and host and really made sure we were welcome and knew everything we needed to. And were very available whenever we wanted to know anything. The condo is very well outfitted and has everything you would want/need. And if you do need something, Lidia and Eric will make sure you get it. The view from the condo is spectacular and the beach is serously the best beach on the island. Hoopers Bay rocks. We did go do a lot of things on the island-and boat tours-and while we enjoyed all of that-we ended up thinking we were in the best place on the island and ended up hanging out there more than we thought we would. It's just that nice. Also-they have kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear, and a lot of other water toys so that is a giant plus. And we enjoyed using them. We want to come back here again. You will be very happy staying at Driftwood and having Lida and Eric as your host/ess.

Lidia and Eric are amazing hosts. They communicated with us before our trip and were there to greet us upon arrival. Our place was clean and had everything we needed! The beach was steps away and you have a private area with chairs, kayaks, and paddles boards. The views are truly amazing. Best place to stay on the island and the best hosts!

We had an amazing holiday at the beautfiul and tranquil Driftwood Condos (2nd floor)! From booking to check-out, everything was handled in top notch fashion. A million thanks to the most gracious hosts ever. Eric and Lidia are good people who seem to truly find joy in sharing their corner of paradise. They had starter groceries waiting when we arrived and Eric even took us snorkeling to a spot we never would have known about otherwise. They made our stay extra memorable. The condo itself is exactly as pictured/described and very clean and well-stocked. It is bright, cheery, and features colorful local artwork. We chilled on the large balcony a bit, watching shooting stars at night and spying for turtles in the mornings, or just staring in disbelief at that gorgeous view. The water is really that blue and also very clear, plus the surf is gentle. In fact, after visiting several beaches around, we still would vote for Hooper's Bay as our number one favorite. The hammocks and loungers in the private palm-shaded beach area above the high water line are a huge bonus, and we also really appreciated the kayaks, noodles, and beach toys. We used the solar shower & extra rinse area at the top of the main steps daily to knock off the sand and clean our snorkeling gear. The grounds are full of vibrantly-blooming tropical vegetation, with hummingbirds and butterflies buzzing about. The building sets up high, with the stone steps cascading down to the ocean, which gives it a bit of a Mediterranean vibe. The location is very convenient. There is even a little plaza offering provisions within walking distance. However, if like us, you rent a vehicle, you will find that you are central to everything. Even though we got out and did all the main check-list things and explored, the best part was simply hanging out at this special property . All in all, it was the perfect blend of rest and recreation. We definitely hope to return!

Every year we take a family vacation, and this vacation tops all of them! Lidia and Eric had great communication from last year to the weeks leading up. Always replied to my questions quickly, even when I asked questions 9 months in advance. They provide water to drink through a reverse osmosis private water cooler in your condo and refill it as much as you need. It tasted great and we could not tell the difference between that and bottled. We all stayed healthy and hydrated the entire week with no issues. We also ate at Splash a couple times and a little bakery in Georgetown, no issues. They also have all the little things that don’t “fly” well! From beach umbrellas, to coolers to pack with you if you are spending day at one of the other beaches on the island. However maybe my favorite beach of all was the one we had right outside our door at Hoopers bay. They provide laundry soap, dish soap and all amenities with staying in a condo. If you have a particular need, email Lidia, they may have it already in the condo. The condo was clean and well maintained. The outdoor space will be where you spend most of your time and the adirondack chairs are so comfortable on your private balcony. We were in Exuma for the first time and we love to explore the areas we visit. Eric gave us lots of great tips and suggestions. If you are wanting to do excursions and rent a boat at Minn’s make reservations well in advance. We were in Exuma in July/August and they were totally booked at Minn’s and had been for a few weeks. We also did the full day excursion with 4Cs and “Smiley” was great. This condo location is the absolute best on the island and we know because we drove all over. It is right in the middle.Hooper’s Bay is quiet, the water is more calm than Tropic of Cancer (south end) and Coco Plum (north end) but go to both of these beaches if you come to Exuma. The pure beauty of Tropic of Cancer Beach and the sand dollar hunting at Coco Plum is well worth the trip to them. There is a beach access by the condo but not to worry, it is not busy and everyone goes on down to feed the turtles on the other side of the first dock to the right. You won’t even notice them. We used one of the kayaks and had fun exploring Hoopers bay for a bit too. The water is so incredibly beautiful here, after you pick your jaw up off the floor you will really enjoy it. When we come back this will be where we stay for sure. Eric and Lidia are the absolute best hosts!!!
