Stayed Oct 10, 2025No hot water, strong odor—ruined Columbus Day weekend (Oct 10–12)Review: We stayed Oct 10–12 with my wife and elderly mother-in-law after a 7-hour drive from NJ, looking forward to a nice holiday weekend. Instead, we arrived to find no hot water at check-in. After a phone call, I was told to flip the breakers, but we still couldn’t shower that night and no on-site help was available. We had to leave at 6:00 a.m. for our Mt. Washington train the next day without being able to freshen up.When we returned that evening, the hot water finally worked, but the unit had a strong smoke/marijuana-like odor despite a strict no-smoking policy. We also found the downstairs common area near the pool and sauna filthy, with the sauna not working and the showers there not in any condition to use. We left a voicemail about the odor and received no response. The first night was completely unusable for us, and the entire Columbus Day weekend was ruined. We were very disappointed with the experience.

Stayed Jan 26, 2025We loved the property. Perfect for us 4 adults. Ski storage in the basement was convenient and it was just a quick ski down to the lift! Jaccuzzi and sauna were great after skiing. The pool needed some work. Fun things at Sunday River include the igloo and the fight
