Bear Trap Dunes 2nd-floor, lakefront condo w/ pool and free WiFi - 1 dog OK

The property was clean, good location and was exactly as described in the listing. We did find that the internet was very slow to the point we could not use it to even manage our emails. I would recommend that the owners have someone clean the master bedroom carpet. It was rather stained. The biggest issue was that on our first and second day at the condo we had roofers starting at 9;00 am taking the roof off and then the next day replacing the roof. It would have been nice to know that was the situation for 2 of our 4 days. It was very loud and we had to leave the condo for both days due to the noise. This was a big miss and we should have been notified as this had been scheduled by HOA awhile ago the neighbor told us. Did not leave with a good feeling due to the missed communication.

We love staying in Bear Trap Dunes and this unit was no exception. Clean and perfectly maintained.

Perfect location.. clean and roomy.. just what we were looking for.

The house was very comfortable. Nicely decorated and kitchen was stocked well. Lots of books, games, and cards. Loved the screened in deck. Would definitely visit again.

This was a time for me to get away and enjoy the quiet. There was a screened in porch my favorite. Lots of room. It was clean and enjoyable.

I loved the layout and the space of this rental but the cleaning from Vacasa was insufficient and we questioned if it was done at all. I had to clean the toothpaste out of the sinks and the one bedroom trash was filled with waste products and we had trash laying on the floor in the Master and several pills were found in different places on the floor in the home. I have complained about this for every rental every year so this is not an owner issue. On to the owner issues: The furniture in the living room is very dirty. I could not sit in there. It smelled and felt horrible. The master bedroom bed is very comfortable but very high. I had to climb into it and slide out of it. The shower in the master is very tiny and has a huge shower head. You can not redirect the water and it just pummels against the same spot on the wall in the shower and water ends up all over the shower door (the door has a considerable amount of mold growing on it) and it is hard to get the water to rinse everywhere. Even considering all this we would not rule out a return but I would want to see at least improvement to the living room furniture. The location and community is wonderful. The loft would be super cool if needed. We did not go up there but it seemed like a nice fort for kids for a week. The kitchen is not well stocked but it has a nice layout

This is the fifth time we have stayed at this property. We love it. It has everything we need and is quick drive to the beach. It's usually just my husband and I but this trip we took our (adult) children and they had a friend with them. There was 5 of us and our pup and there was still plenty of space. We enjoy this property greatly!! Highly recommend it.

Nice place but needs updating in all rooms….

I would not consider staying here again. It is as far as you can get from the Pavillion/building with the pool, playground, basketball court, etc (also these are all fenced in completely - very uninviting). There is minimal green space (except for the golf course but I wasn’t about to throw the ball for my dog there). For the actual unit: Needs some real attention. Stained carpets and questionably stained/dirty couches. The heat worked but the only room that got warm (mostly too warm) was the loft while the rest of the unit was cold. Also, gas fireplace should be made available, at least during winter rentals. I am a grown adult with kids and I think the dishwasher is older than me. All shower heads need to be replaced. They are caked with scale and do not function properly. Overall this is a “you get what you pay for” rental (based on prices of other places in the area for the week we stayed).

My husband and I have stayed in this home, we think, four times now. It really is becoming a home away from home. Kitchen always has what we need and the location is close to fun but far enough away that it has a homey feel not a resort feel. We love it....and so does our pup.
