Located near the Pavilion amenities (pools, tennis, fitness center, and more), this second-floor two-bedroom (and loft), three-bath golf villa-style condo has 1,939 square feet of space. The great room features new cork flooring! This home offers an open den area off the living room (known as the Library), plus screened porch and open-air deck with a large table and chairs overlooking the pond and fountain. It also has central air conditioning, an updated kitchen with granite countertops with a new dishwasher, a full-size washer and dryer, a new HVAC system (June 2016), and more. Five flatscreen TVs, two DVDs, Blu-ray, CD player, gas fireplace, iPod docking station, Portable induction cooking unit for use on the deck, wireless Internet (via an upgraded router built to handle multiple users).

The Village at Bear Trap Dunes surrounds 27 holes of championship golf at Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club. Just three miles to the beach, this exciting golf course community features a fantastic set of amenities, including The Village Pavilion (with indoor pool, outdoor pool, kiddie pool, exercise room, Har-Tru tennis courts, hard surface tennis court, multi-sport court, and saunas for homeowners and guests), outdoor pool, playground, summer beach shuttle and clubhouse with restaurant.

Note: The Bear Trap Dunes Owners Association charges an optional per person fee for guests ages 4 and older for the use of the community’s amenities, including the in-season beach shuttle, pools, tennis and fitness center. This fee varies by the time of year and is subject to change without notice. Guests that opt to purchase amenity passes MUST purchase at the Bear Trap Pavilion.
The pools are located at the community pavilion. (The pool located on October Glory is for owner use only.)
*Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.

    The unit was not cleaned appropriately. There was cobwebs and spiders (dead and alive) on almost every ceiling line in every room. There was food residue on the face of the dishwasher and on several dishes/silverware. The carpets were not vacuumed well. Toothpaste residue left on bathroom faucets. Not enough towels for the guest count.Additionally, when we were stripping the beds at check out time, I found blood on the pillow I had been using all week. It’s clear that no one is maintaining the home. Light bulbs out, hornets nest on the deck rendering it unusable, water damage along all ceilings, water damage in the bathrooms, old/dingy fixtures, doorknobs not screwed on so couldn’t use the door, drapery rods hanging on by a thread, pots/pans are old, knives are dull etc. There was no outdoor cooktop as indicated on the listing. You can tell that no one is monitoring this unit for basic maintenance needs.We received at text shortly after check in asking about our unit. We responded with many of our complaints. We were told someone would contact us from the “local” Vacasa management. No one ever did all week. A plumber randomly showed up with no warning one morning and fixed the clog drains but that was it (and we were still in our PJs!)The cleaning crew was outside our unit today at 9am. Pacing, smoking cigarettes, and drinking beer waiting for us to check out. They also asked us when we would be leaving so they could start.

    This was a very clean home. The room set up worked really well for our family having a queen bed in the loft and two twins in the room on the main level. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and utensils. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Overall this was a very nice rental and we enjoyed our stay. It was within walking distance to the pool which was very nice and we visited almost daily since we were traveling with kids. As others have noted the wifi was absolutely awful and paired with the bad cell reception it was hard to do very much. You certainly couldn’t work there but even browsing for restaurants was a challenge.

    Overall this was a nice unit and we enjoyed our stay. We came with kids so the pool was great and we spent a lot of time there, it was also within walking distance from the property.A few downsides- the wifi was awful so it was nearly impossible to stream any entertainment in the evenings and the cell reception is essentially a dead zone as well. This is not the place to stay if you need to do any work on your trip. The property is managed by vacasa and I suspect the actual owner hardly ever sets foot in there since there is a cleaning service doing the turnover. There were a lot of signs of water damage on the bathroom ceilings as well as the vaulted ceiling in the main living space. You could see mildew in the door frame to the porch and several of the sinks and tubs were clogged and did not drain well. So while the house and rooms were clean I think it could use a more thorough review for mold and bigger maintenance items.

    This home is close to the beach, shopping, and groceries. Safe neighborhood, and lovely area to stay in. We have been coming back to this home for several years for our annual beach vacation and we love it!

    The size and location of this home is perfect for our family of five. The master bedroom mattress is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The home offers everything you could need on a getaway.

    We just loved our week in Bear Trap Dunes! This unit hit all of the marks. Very clean upon arrival. Spacious for 5 adults. Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. Traffic was super heavy during the week of July 4th…close to grocery stores and restaurants. Definitely recommend this unit.

    This trip was just for the two of us however we noticed ample space and seating for the family. King bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the sunroom and the deck.
