Stayed Sep 8, 2025The listing was very accurate, especially about the street noise in the morning. There were a few cosmetic improvements that could be made, but they weren't deal-breakers. Otherwise, it was a very positive experience. Our hosts were very communicative about the check-in and check out process. It's clear that they understand how to keep it simple. The condo was very clean and well kempt. We very much appreciated the coffee in the morning! Plenty of amenities to cook our meals!

Stayed Aug 14, 2025Decent property within convenient walking distance to downtown Southwest Harbor. Both road noise and noise from other units is definitely an issue, but this was clearly spelled out in the listing so was not a surprise. Some minor maintenance issues and wear, particularly on the couches in the living room. Good value for money and good alternative to a B&B, which is really the only other option in SWH.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025Great location and view. The unit was very well appointed and clean. Mattress and linens were really nice. Super easy checkout. The only reason we didn’t give a five star is the bunk bed was a bit wobbly especially for adults. We moved the top mattress to the living room for sleeping and there was not air conditioning in the living room.

Stayed Jun 27, 2025Nice unit, well decorated and good location but little sound dampening from upstairs unit and road noise. We could every movement and talking from the above unit. Recommend increasing hot water temperature and would appreciate nicer towel more dining ware.

Stayed May 26, 2025Sea glass was just what we needed. Great proximity to Acadia, clean and comfortable. It’s true what the reviews said, since it’s on a main road, it’s quite loud. Bedrooms are on the front of the house so the sound machine and earplugs are a great and thoughtful addition. Would recommend to others!

Stayed Nov 7, 2024We chose Southwest Harbor for our birthday weekend getaway. This apartment is exactly what the photos show. The view from the living area is beautiful and the kitchen is very well stocked. Communication with the host before arrival was very smooth. We appreciated the quiet hours since noise does travel in the building. The location was better than expected- close to the restaurants and shops in the town.

Stayed Nov 4, 2024The condo was beautiful and well stocked. As I read in the reviews, the street is a little noisy. We were there off season so not too bad at night but around 5am it started with road noise. The owner did provide earplugs and noise cancelling machine, although we didn't use them. I would recommend going there

Stayed Sep 9, 2024The listing does make the noise issue clear and they have made every reasonable effort to manage. But if you are noise-sensitive, you probably should look at a different property. Otherwise, we found the unit very nice. It's a bit more of a hike to get to the main Acadia attractions than we anticipated. But that's on us for not researching more carefully.

Stayed Sep 3, 2024The property is as advertised,clean,nicely furnished,great location with easy access to park,nice view and near some nice places to eat. However, it's a little pricey(looking at total cost to include cleaning, tax,commission) as it does sit on a busy highway which can be a little noisy and we stayed on the 2nd floor and there isn't much in sound proof with the third floor.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024This was our first time visit to Desert Island, Southwest Harbor and Acadia NP. The apartment was nice, had all the kitchen equipment we needed for 4 adults. The town was beautiful with great seafood restaurants. Regarding the accommodation, the second bedroom with the bunk bed was not the most comfortable for a 4 night stay for 2 adults and the noise level at night in both bedrooms is pretty high. They provide ear plugs, but you can still hear the traffic on the street and all the movement at the neighbors. Overall was a good stay.

Stayed Aug 6, 2024It’s a very comfortable space with comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. Walking distance to the quaint shops and restaurants, quiet compared to Bar Harbor and 30 mins to the Acadia. We enjoyed our stay very much!
