Welcome to Sandy Schus, (a playful nod to “sandy shoes” after a day at the beach) comfortable and updated 1 bedroom Isle of Palms vacation rental at The Ocean Inn. Just a short walk from the beach, this second floor condo is a great spot for couples or couples traveling with a baby or small child who want an easy, relaxed island stay.

The open living and kitchen layout makes the space feel larger than many one bedroom condos, with plenty of natural light and a comfortable place to unwind after a day outside. The living room includes a queen sleeper sofa and Smart TV, creating a cozy space for relaxing in the evenings.

The bedroom features a king bed with comfortable space on both sides, something guests appreciate in a one bedroom condo. There is also storage for your belongings and a calm, comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to get a good night’s sleep.

The kitchen has been thoughtfully designed to make the most of the space and includes a full stove, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, cookware, and everything needed for simple meals or snacks during your stay. Bar seating at the counter keeps the space social and relaxed while cooking or enjoying a quick breakfast before heading to the beach.

The bathroom features a tiled walk-in shower, making it easy to rinse off after a day at the beach. It is simple, clean, and practical for getting ready for the day or winding down in the evening.

Step outside to the private balcony where two people can sit comfortably and enjoy the island breeze. It is a quiet place to start the morning with coffee or relax in the evening after a day on the sand.

Beach chairs and gear are available for guest use, making it easy to head out for the day without overpacking.

The Ocean Inn property includes a pool, two grill areas, free parking, and shared laundry facilities just steps away. The pool is close to the condo but far enough that you will not hear the activity.

You are also within easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants, shops, and the local coffee shop next door. Bike and golf cart rentals nearby make exploring the island even easier.

Historic downtown Charleston is just a short drive away if you want to spend a day enjoying the city’s restaurants, history, and shopping before returning to the relaxed pace of island life.

**MINIMUM BOOKING AGE is 25 at all of our properties. The person holding the reservation must be staying at the property. No 3rd party booking is allowed.
**MINIMUM NIGHTS Some of our properties have minimum nights required to make a reservation on weekends, holidays, and during the summer season. To check availability for a shorter stay, please send a message / inquiry. If it's possible, we'd be happy to accommodate you.
** CONFIRMATION & PAYMENT: Your reservation is confirmed when the initial payment is paid. Payment options are dependent on the cancellation policy and how far away you are booking your stay. For reservations made in advance of 30 days, the remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. Balances are deducted automatically from the card on file. In the event of payment failure, a grace period of 24 hours is given to remedy the payment.
** ITEMS PROVIDED: Soaps, linens, towels and starter paper products will be in your condo upon arrival. Routine linen and towel exchanges are not provided during your stay. Guests are responsible for replacing their own paper and soap products if starter amounts are used during their stay. It is not necessary to replace these for future guests.
**SMOKING All of our properties are NO SMOKING properties. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please discard appropriately. Deposit will be forfeited and additional cleaning charges incurred if evidence of smoking indoors is found upon departure. THIS INCLUDES smoking by an open door or window so that smoke enters the condo. Please smoke away from these areas.

    Our OBX trip got canceled last minute due to flooding, so we had to find a new spot fast — and wow, we totally lucked out with this condo! It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had absolutely everything we needed (we didn’t even have to use the stuff we brought). Great value, close to the beach, super comfortable, and the host was fantastic to work with. This was our first time renting through VRBO, and it was such a great experience — we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

    It was just like I saw in the photos. Cute and comfortable. Only thing my husband mentioned is that they should have a TV in the bedroom and the one in the living rm/ kitchen was super small.

    Had a wonderful few days before thanksgiving here. Walking distance to 5 great little beach bars with live music and good food. Quick access to the beach and 15-20 minute drive to downtown Charleston. Clean, quiet and very comfortable place to stay. It is staying in my “saved places” list for the next trip.

    The condo was in the perfect location. A short walk to the beach, restaurants and beach shops. My daughter and I were in town for two different family events. Easy access to main roads. Parking was great. Check in was very easy. I will definitely stay again.

    We had a great time staying here! The apartment was clean, quiet, and looked just as advertised. The bed was very comfy, and the dual shower head was a nice touch. The location was fantastic- steps away to the beach, restaurants/bars, a wonderful breakfast cafe, and a grocery store. Would happily stay here again!

    Everything was nice about our stay. good central location to public beach. We were in town for a baseball tournament, so we really were not in the condo much. The last day we were there for dinner and packing and we got a text letting us that we were too loud, and the building is not soundproof. Kind of annoying. We were not doing much other than packing stuff up and getting the condo back in shape. We felt like we couldn't move around much after that.

    Our stay was amazing! It was a short walk straight to the beach. There were shops and restaurants in walking distance as well. The condo was very clean and neat. All guests around us were very friendly and we never had any noise complaints.
