Though many come to enjoy outdoor adventure activities, simply watching the wildlife can be one of the best ways to enjoy this area.
The Historic Crags Lodge is everything you would hope to find in a quiet, quaint Colorado retreat. While the lodge retains its historic, rustic charm, it has a modern appeal, as well as most of the amenities you will find anywhere else.

Property and surrounding outside area was very nice. Was disappointed that there was no restaurant / bar / pool. VRBO said pool would be opening the day we arrived. Hotel staff were awesome- pleasant and helpful.
From welcoming, stay was great. Very good hygiene standards followed. Location is perfect.
Amazing location, nice pool and hot tub and the staff were amazing! Mike at The View-attached to the hotel, was great also. This property manager never responded to my message though.
Great place!
We had a nice time there - walkable to downtown. Condo was clean and perfect for our stay. One note in this particular unit is that we could not control the heat. But everything else was lovely.
Great visit lodging in Estes. Very historical of the original Colorado mountain communities.
The staff goes above and beyond to make a great stay! Loved everything about our visit! Staff, location, pool, hot tub, restaurant, checkers and s’mores by the fireplace!
We were only there for the night but awoke to an amazing view out our window. great spot
Great place, beautiful views. Loved the hot tub, pool table and restaurant.
We loved our stay at The Historic Craggs Lodge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The roaring fireplace in the main lobby area was great after a cold day of wine and chocolate tasting. It's off the beaten path but there was a great and inexpensive cab service that we used to get downtown. The view from our room was just amazing.
