One of our best weekend getaways! The place was clean and very cozy. The host was great and gave us some good recommendations. It wasn't far from the shops and restaurants but still secluded enough to feel like you're out in nature. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommend!

Beautifully designed studio with many windows looking onto trees and treetops. Close to town, but also close to nature. Host Richard made sure everything went well.

Fireplace is electric, not wood burning. But things the perfect little get away.

Richard was very welcoming. The amenities had much to be desired, a very small refrigerator, a two burner electric hotplate, very limited pots and pans, the bathroom only had a medicine cabinet for essentials, the walkup to the second floor chalet was very tiring for older people.

This is a private, quiet chalet, with a nice pool area. It is on a cul de sac. It is only a few minutes from Woodstock and hiking areas, near Overlook Mountain. The interior is warmer, nicely decorated, and cozy. It is a perfect location for a weekend getaway or a longer-term stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Chalet! Place has straight out of Yellowstone vibe, rustic but charming. Very close to town. Richard was very attentive to our needs. Halloween weekend is a fun time to visit, didn’t realize they shut the town down which was cool and being an artsy town the costumes were so fun. Great hiking trails close by.

Delightful! The Chalet was exactly as described. It was clean, well appointed and the bed was super comfortable. We were there to celebrate a birthday and could not have asked for better accommodations. Richard was very responsive and provided helpful information about things to do in the area. This place is a 10 and we would stay again. Thank you, Richard!

My partner and I, puppy in tow, chose this idyllic gem for a quick weekend getaway from the city and could not have been more pleased with our experience! The property is beautiful beyond words, pictures barely do it justice. The town of Woodstock was so charming and lovely. And the hospitality we received from our host was next-level amazing! We're already looking forward to our next stay. Could not recommend more highly!

What an amazing trip! This property is charming, rustic, and relaxing. Decorated like a lovely cabin with a stone fireplace, beautiful hardwood floors, and log interior, this place also has some high-end features including a Bose sound system and nicely appointed kitchenette. While there is not a traditional stove, there is an invection cook-top, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig, and instant boiler, as well as a beautiful gas grill down by the pool. On a wooded lot, it was very quiet and private. Our host achieved a nice balance between being available if we had questions while still respecting our privacy. We had a lovely time and can’t wait to visit again.

For a summer stay this is just fantastic. The grounds and pool are show-stopping. Beautifully landscaped, immaculate pool at a perfect temperature, and set in peaceful, wooded serenity. It feels away from it all, but is actually extremely convenient to town. The chalet is spacious & attractive, with a very comfy bed. Richard is a terrific host

Richard is an excellent host and lovely person. The cabin is a private gem with a gorgeous garden and large, beautiful, shaded pool. There’s also a vine-covered outdoor dining area with a grill next to the pool. Great location, very close to downtown Woodstock. So quiet and relaxing!

Extremley charming and comfortable chalet. The pool and its setting are the best we have ever seen. The owner is accessiblw, responsive and easy to deal with. We have stayed in many small cottages in Woodstock over the last several years. None compare to this.

The place is super nice, quiet, and the pool is just amazing.

Unfortunately, there was some confusion with the day we were arriving and the outdoor area was not ready for us. When I brought this to Richard’s attention he didn’t apologize about the situation and seemed like he expected us to go in the pool dirty. I had to ask him if there was a net to clean the pool. In the end, he did get the outdoor area ready, but at that point, it was getting late and we didn’t feel like going in the pool. The rest of the trip we had cool weather so we weren’t able to enjoy the pool. I understand things happen but Richard could have been a little apologetic about the situation. Also, the kitchen is not set up of cooking. There was not even salt and pepper. The outdoor grill was good tho. The area is great. You can walk to the red onion restaurant, which was great and the farmers market in Saugerties was fun.

A short 3 miles to Woodstock, this amazing setup was super peaceful and serene. Amazingly landscaped property with beautiful pool with great water toys to lounge on. The chalet had all the comforts of home, with super comfortable bed and beddings. Richard was an excellent host! You can’t go wrong if you find this available.

Quiet and secluded mountainside chalet with everything we needed, updated bathroom, compact kitchen setup, beautiful outdoor pool, patio and a Weber BBQ. We will definitely be back!

Quiet location in the woods, yet close to town. Levon Helm's Studio literally a mile away. Space is extremely comfortable and has a fabulous rustic lodge vibe. Can't wait to go back!

We drive from NYC for a lil intimate honeymoon getaway and our stay was beyond pleasant! Richard was the best host and made sure we had all we needed. The place is beautiful and peaceful! I had a lovely solo stay at this cabin and would come back any time.

We spent a weekend in the chalet and we loved it. It was great, close to the city (we enjoyed Saturday walk and lunch outside). The property is beautiful, so peaceful, quiet and just perfect. Exactly what we needed. Richard was a great host. Our dog loved the grass and nature, and we loved our private balcony We had great time and looking forward to coming back in summer.

Wanted a relaxing weekend of dining and hiking. This place hit it on the head. Our host got us checked in and from there we had a private fun filled weekend. The space was a perfect complement to our schedule of hiking, dining out and relaxation. Highly recommend this space.

Richard is a gracious host with a stunning, well appointed guest cabin. Minutes to great restaurants, hiking, shopping but feels like you in the woods. Highest recommendation!

We had an absolutly wonderful stay! The pictures don't do this place justice. The chalet is gorgeous! A perfect wood cabin feel with fine finishes. There are flowers growing everywhere. Our host Richard was wonderful and was super attentive. He even turned the firplace on before we got there for an extra romantic feel! We will definitly stay here again!!

Great place for a party of two. This is my second visit and everything works as listed. The owner is responsive, and at the same time discreet, and respects your privacy. The pool and grill areas are great and my main reason to come back here.

Like many other people, I should've read the description more carefully. It's not a separate house rather a large part of a house. That being said, Richard is a great host, the property is beautiful and clean, the pictures are accurate. The pool is also great... we stayed three nights in the summer and would do it again in a heartbeat!
