Luxury Chalet On The Chattahoochee River - Short Walk To Downtown Helen

Great location for an enjoyable stay in Helen. Beautiful views of the river, and the house was nice. Hosts were great and very responsive. No problems on our end.

The remote control for the tv didn’t have batteries. Everything was great! Thank you!

We recently stayed at this VRBO rental and while there were some great aspects to the property, there were also several issues that impacted our experience.The layout of the home is fantastic, and being right on the river’s edge is absolutely awesome—it really is a beautiful and relaxing setting.However, the upstairs bathroom had a drainage problem—the bathtub drained directly underneath the porch, near the hot tub area. This raised concerns about both sanitation and overall maintenance.Additionally, there were visible signs of mold in the bathroom, which was concerning from a cleanliness and health standpoint. The home also did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival, as several areas felt neglected.With such a great location and layout, this property has a lot of potential, but it definitely needs a deep cleaning and proper mold remediation to make it a comfortable and safe stay for future guests.

The perfect house on the river! The views were amazing.

This is a beautiful property, with excellent outdoor spaces and access to the river. When we arrived, the gas fireplaces were banging and flashing on and off. I could not find a working carbon monoxide detector, which made me nervous. When I contacted the property owners, they sent a carbon monoxide detector, which I appreciated. There was absolutely no heat in the downstairs area, and it was 22 degrees at the time of our stay. I contacted the property owner about this, but did not receive a reply. We had to move all of the children to the middle level to stay warm, with one sleeping on the floor. I killed two German cockroaches during our stay. Additionally, the water from the refrigerator was barely coming out and tasted terrible. One of my children fell ill during our stay, and he insisted he got sick after drinking water out of the fridge. I do realize he could have gotten sick from something else. The hot tub water was a bit cloudy, and many of us developed a rash after being in the hot tub. I did contact the owner about the hot tub. They were responsive in sending chlorine tablets for the hot tub, but blamed us, saying that the children were going straight from the river to the hot tub. This was after we were very careful about washing off before getting in the hot tub. All in all, this is a wonderful property, but there were too many issues for us to book here again.

We had a great stay! Our host. , Tina was great! Very prompt with replies. It was Christmas and everything was beautifully decorated. There were 9 of us and plenty of room. We loved the decks and listening to the River. Thanks for a great stay.

The host was very welcoming. We had sll the amenities we needed for our family of 7. Loved the holidsy decorations even had a Christmas tree.

Ours was a reunion of old classmates. We were all at least 70 years old. The hostess was a wonderful lady who really helped me out with some parking issues. The ladies that were staying in the downstairs bedroom did say that one of the lights in their bathroom was out and the other one was blinking, so that needs to be fixed for safety. Other than that everyone was really happy with the accommodations and all of the room we had. Thank you again!! Mary Creekmore

Enjoyed the stay, it was a fun time in Helen Ga. The Chalet was a very nice place to stay at, would stay there again with no hesitation!

Bathtubs and showers full of mold and mildew including tile, shower curtains, liners, and jets. Spider webs hanging from ceiling and on walls. The blinds were missing the rod that allowed you to open and close them. Had to run hand down to close and then open each individual blind. Found a used adult toy in the bedside table. Blood stains on bedding. Messaged owners and three days later I still have not heard from them.

Location of the house to downtown events was perfect. Everything was able to be walked to. More than enough room for 8 adults. The property was clean and well maintained. The outdoor space was very relaxing. There was a fire pit with seating, swinging, outdoor T.V. with sitting area, hot tub and tables for an outdoor meal.

We love the location the house is off the Main Street and the traffic but within walking distance of the shops, etc. It is perfect for our large family.

The house was beautifully located right on the river and it was a great place for our family to hang out on the decks and just enjoy being together. The owner was wonderful ever time we needed him he always called us. I cant say enough about this place it was just a nice get away and the house has every thing, that if you didn't want yo leave you wouldn't have to. But we sure enjoyed the bakeries and enjoyed Helen alot. We hope to find time to book this house again.

We had a wonderful time at the Chalet . The beds upstairs had plastic on the bed which made it a little uncomfortable but that is minor. There is a board that is rotten so we placed a chair over it. Over all marvelous

It was good but not great! The outside area was not as clean as it should of been. The house had water bugs (roaches). Getting out of the carport was challenging to say the least. A lot of foot traffic through the yard. Shower curtains were molded. The tubs with the jets are a challenge for older people to get in and out.

Love it there.This place is perfect for a big family and the host are so friendly and welcoming. Recommend 10 out of 10

We loved the location of the place. Walking distance to everything.

The views while sitting on the various decks were fabulous! Wonderful river view and sounds. Tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds. 4 bathrooms was lovely with our griup of 8. Nice location for Helen events. A little hard to find arriving first time. Housekeeping and kitchen equipment was below expectations and needs to.be improved.

Was not cleaned properly cleaning people were rushing and was late showing up. Air conditioner stopped working. Contacted property manager or owner no response. Downstairs bathroom ceiling was leaking. Bottom floor patio was not blowed off or clean. None of the balconies were blowed off.

Excellent over all. Kitchen week equipped, comfortable beds, great location, effective communication. Only negative: screened in area had lots of spider webs.

Check in was easy, the property is located on the banks of the river and within walking distance to all attractions. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and there is even an extra bahroom on the main floor. This location is perfect and the chalet is nicely appointed and very clean on the inside. Parking can be tight with the condos next door, but we werre able to park a large van and had no issues with maneuvering. There are two dedicated parking spaces conveniently located next to the chalet. The decks were gorgeous but had some huge spider webs and a layer of leaves. It was no problem to sweep them away. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend to anyone bringing a group to this area! wonderful!

This house has 4 bedrooms on 3 floors. Each bedroom is spacious and has it own bathroom. There is a half bath on the main floor with the washer dryer. Small kitchen but well equipped. A couple of guests thought the fans needed cleaning. The WIFI didn’t work at first. We had 2 different sets of instructions. The host did not respond but i think it was remotely rebooted as it started to work. House sleeps 11 but there are only 2 actual parking spaces. You must contact the host if you want to park more. The neighbors are a lot closer than the picture might lead you to believe. Lots of things to do. Bettys grocery store on main is well stocked.

Went to Helen for family get together and Oktoberfest, we all had a great time and the rental was awesome, very peaceful but close to everything. Enjoyed listening to the Chattahoochee river, put you right to sleep. Great place and would definitely stay there again.

Convenient and comfortable. Great space to celebrate and watch football for my husband’s birthday celebration and go tubing right next door.

This property was very nice. Everything was there that you needed. Well equipped. Only issue was the deck tv would not work
