Lakefront Chalet - Stunning Views, Private Dock and A+ Location! 2026 Updates!

It was very nice. It was great being right on the lake. My family could fish right there and we used the kayaks and we had a raft. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking.

This place was awesome! Jill was a great host. It was everything we could have asked for, well stocked with all that was needed. We enjoyed the lake and beaches; house was clean and tidy. Plenty of room for 6 adults and a 2-year-old. Fishing was good off the dock and the kayaks provided quiet time on the lake. You can't go wrong with this property!

We just spent a wonderful week at this lake house as a multi-generational family of 10. Toddlers to grandparents. The home was equipped with everything you would need and many extras which were a delightful surprise Entertainment options galore for adults and children, board games, arcade games, books and puzzles - comfortable, well equipped bedrooms with smart TVs and split AC units - a large fully equipped kitchen, kayaks, fishing dock and a great fire pit area. We utilized all the baby equipment - high chair, baby gates, kids dishes - even used the play yard down by the water. We brought floats and the kids jumped and swam off the dock. The wee ones brought their rods and “almost” caught a fish! Haha! We all enjoyed the community pool and beaches. The adults played pickleball. It would be hard to find a vacation property with a better location or amenities. Top it off with a great host! Oh! and the local Bald Eagle was a thrill!

Just ended an amazing trip at Sunrise Chalet. This home is a renters dream and Jill is an incredible host, one of the best. She was readily available for any of our needs, though the home is extremely well-stocked with essentials and more, so we didn't need to ask for much! The house was large and comfortable enough for our 3gen family of 9 ranging from 7-71. We really appreciated all the labeled lightswitches & closets, it made it so easy to settle right in and relax. As a family of fishermen, we spent many hours fishing off the dock and lakefront. The location of this home on Roamingwood was prime. Countless bluegill, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, catfish, and smallmouth bass were caught, and many were keepers! We also spent time at both Hideout beaches and pools, and took day trips to Claws & Paws zoo and rented a slide pontoon on Lake Wallenpaupack to round out our fun filled week. Thank you Jill for your hospitality! We hope to book with you again in the future!

Great experience, home was very accommodating for the children - they love the water access for fishing, swimming and kayaking.

Starting with the communication with Jill I can’t stay enough! She stayed in touch with us to “Check in” that all was well ! The house , property and all the items that were available for our use topped off our stay ! Very comfortable home from roominess and of course comfy beds ! Our rating is Outdtanfing as we hope we can plan next year !

Our family had a wonderful week at this beautiful home which was well stocked. Great location on the lake with beautiful views. Our grandchildren loved all the video and arcade games downstairs which came in handy on a rainy day. Kayak rides and swimming in the lake! So much to do in the Hideout. We will definitely return!

We loved staying at Sunrise Chalet! The house was perfect for our group. The owner was helpful and open to communicate from the beginning of our stay. The kitchen was stocked with everyday needs. We also loved the location of the house within The Hideout. It was easy to kayak to the public beach and the kids loved swimming off the dock in front of the house. The beautiful view of the lake from the deck was a great way to drink our coffee in the morning. We really loved this home and hope to return!

You can’t go wrong renting this property! Amazing location, great amenities, and so much to do in the area. Jill was an amazing host. She answered our questions immediately. Our party ranged from ages 7-70 and everybody loved this trip! Highly recommend!

We have rented lake houses before and this one was our favorite so far. It was clean, beds were comfortable, and having three bathrooms all with showers or a tub is great for family of 10! The downstairs was a hit with our 7 and 8 year old grandchdren with video games, arcade games, and TV. There were lots of board games and card games. Even puzzles for the 2 and 3 year olds. The house was well stocked with kitchen essentials, and even had a great welcome basket. They have really put a lot of thought into this rental. We enjoyed the kayaks and caught lots of fish. Kids went swimming in the lake and we met the Snapping Turtle who we think lives under the dock. Plenty of life jackets were available in all sizes. They had beach towels and chairs that we took to the beach and pool. We visited Claws & Paws which is very close by. Also took a nice hike at Lacawac Sanctuary. Communication with Jill was excellent. You cant go wrong with renting the Sunrise Chalet!

Stayed for a week with my adult children and their families. Was not disappointed. The house was as pictured in the description. Plenty to do in the Hideout community and the guest passes included with the rental was an added bonus. We enjoyed fishing, swimming and paddle boarding right from the backyard dock. Lake patrol security was excellent at enforcing boating rules to keep everyone safe. As the host points out in the description, the driveway is very steep and after a heavy rain the gravel gets a little loose. My son in law's car was lighter and had some trouble getting out, but took his time and did make it out. Jill was a great host. We will definitely stay there again!
