For your safety, along with our normal cleaning we disinfect common surface areas. We also have 100MG Internet service. In the winter we a first priority road for the snow plow and have never had a problem with snow. I also clear the driveway when it snows. No 4x4 needed. Listen to the creek, watch the wildlife and be only a mile from town. This home has Australian Cypress hardwood floors, indoor grill, heated by a Tulikivi (A soapstone fireplace from Finland), and cooled by AC in eachbedroom. All electricity is 100% solar. No detail was left out on this unique layout with beautiful natural wood to create a lodge setting in a compact space. The living area is up one flight of stairs. So be aware there are stairs to get to the main level. On the main floor there is one master bedroom with a king sized bed. There are two loft bedrooms accessed by a shipman’s ladder each with a queen sized bed and an additional single trundle bed. There is another raised sleeping area behind Japanese Shoji doors that houses two twin mattresses as well as a carpeted play area. Sleeping for 10 can be easily accommodated in this unique layout. Jacuzzi tub and a home office make this a place to come home and relax after a good day skiing, hiking or biking. The kitchen is fully equipped and the home includes a washer and dryer. Bring a DVD and use our 110 inch Projection screen with surround sound. The canyon road goes for 4-5 more miles and then ends in wilderness area. With the Logan to Jackson bike race and the Top of Utah Marathon both in the valley, this home is passed everyday by athletes who are training in a beautiful setting.
Outside the house is a deluxe private playground with sand box, playhouse, swings, slides, basketball hoop, and soccer field. There are 8 acres of land to take a walk across the bridges along the creek. We have seen deer (almost every day), raccoons, moose, fox, rabbits, pheasants, owls, and other wildlife that live in harmony with this home. Yet we are one mile from the post office and McDonalds. We have the benefit of quiet seclusion and still close to town. It is like our own private oasis.
We wish to share a dream that we created in a beautiful setting. There are 8 acres to explore.

For weekends, we require a two night stay unless the weekend is seven or less days away.

This property is enchanting. Wildlife (turkeys and deer) were present throughout our Autumn Break stay. The home is equipped with everything needed for a getaway. We were impressed with the owner’s immediate responsiveness to questions we had. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Great place! Open the windows and listen to the stream behind this amazing place. Plenty of parking and nice property to wander around. I will definitely stay there again when I am in the area.

The sliding door was a little stuck but overall the suit was great for the couple dates we were there.

This is a very cute and fun location. Very scenic and great for a family stay. Be sure to note, even tho it sleeps 10, there is only one bathroom and the loft bedrooms are open areas above the kitchen, with limited privacy. There are ladders to climb to get to the beds, so keep that in mind when booking. Personally, I don't like the extra cleaning fee that was added to the stay cost. To me, that's part of what I'm paying for already. That being said, we had a great time, wonderful fireplace inside, great projector screen for movie night, well stocked kitchen, wonderful fire pit outside for roasting marshmallows. The host was easy to communicate with and instructions were clear.

We've been coming here every autumn for the last 6 years. Our five kids (now ages 6-18) love it! The outside is so fun with a firepit, big field for football or soccer, playground, trails in the forest, and a stream. The inside is so cozy with the warm fireplace, so much space to be together, a huge table for games and puzzles, and plenty of places to sleep. My husband and I love the master bedroom with a king sized bed, and windows facing into the trees. The kitchen has what we need, and the projector is always fun for a movie night. Seeing a big flock of turkeys walk by is always a treat, as well as the very dark sky for stargazing at night. Really great place!

Great location on a wonderful property. The beautiful stream and the shady trees make for a relaxing and enlivening environment. We especially enjoyed having a campfire. The interior of the cabin was cozy. The HVAC and the strangely dysfunctional kitchen lighting were the items that detracted from the overall delightful experience.

This place is amazing!!! You’re minutes from civilization but feel like you’re in a secluded cabin. My family loved hiking the trail through the woods, splashing in the stream, and playing on the playground. I can’t say enough how great this place is. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at this house. It was clean and well furnished. It sits in the middle of a wooden canyon. The kids had a lot of fun playing outside. There is a playground, a small soccer field and a basketball hoop. It was also fun to explore the property and the creek area. The house had everything we needed. Nice play area for kids, comfortable beds. We just had to get organized as there is only one bathroom. Easy access to all commodities.

We had an amazing time at the Canyon Lodge. The property was clean and very well stocked. It accommodated our family of 8 perfectly. The best part was the property is pet friendly so we were able to bring out 2 dogs making it a complete family trip. There was nothing about the lodge or the property we didn't enjoy. We took advantage of the outdoor fire pit, projector screen for movies, toys for the kids, games and puzzles and exploring the property. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer : )Tom was lighting fast to respond to any and all messages (much appreciated) We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thanks again Tom!

It was great for just hanging out between our activities. Good gathering places. Enjoyed wandering through the woods. Since we grew up sharing a bathroom, it was a trip down memory lane to just have one. :)

What a lovely place to stay! It is quiet, quaint, and comfortable. The hammock chair was a huge hit, not to mention the wall of DVD's, books, and games to choose from. We really didn't have to leave to have a good time, although we did get out to explore. There are highland cows nearby!!! Tom was a gracious host. You will not be disappointed!

The house is very unique and fun. Quite location near town but feels like you are out in the woods. The host was very friendly and easy to work with. We had everything we needed. The only drawback we noticed was that there is only one bathroom (not a surprise, it was in the listing) and a couple of the mattresses were pretty hard.

Our anniversary trip was made even more special because we chose to stay at the lodge. Its location was close to downtown Logan for good eats and Beaver Mountain for snowboarding but felt like we were staying at a country retreat with little traffic noise. We enjoyed watching and listening to the turkeys roam the property in the mornings and mule deer greeted us as we drove through the neighborhood. The Tulikivi stove/fireplace was so amazingly cozy it was hard to tell that snow was falling outside! Tom was available no matter the hour and his directions were better than any app ) We'd definitely return to and highly recommend the lodge for a stay in Smithfield. Mahalo nui loa Tom!

This was a great place to stay and go nowhere for a couple of days! Our family of 7 loves this cabin. The fireplace kept us plenty warm, and we made use of a lot of the jigsaw puzzles, games, toys, books, projector, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed so we never had to eat out, and the outside is a paradise! We love the playground, short hikes through the forest, my sons love playing in the creek, football in the field, making leaf piles, and all the ambiance! And we saw a huge flock of turkeys multiple times. Tom is really easy to work with, and responds quickly.
